- In this video I am restoring the Vintage camping hatchet GDR.
A little background to this project. Once walking the streets of a small town in Germany, I came across a garage bazaar. A Vintage camping hatchet GDR was found among various antiques. Having bought it for a symbolic price of 2 euros, I became the owner of a camping hatchet. After some time, the turn of restoration came to this camping hatchet.
In the video, you can follow the entire restoration process, starting with dismantling the damaged wooden linings, leveling the surface with files, painting, polishing the tool to a shine, making a new handle from wood.

Нееее, у меня руки не из того места растут. Столько мелкой ручной работы, которая требует точности, терпения и старания! А вот их то как раз у меня и нет, и я не развиваю это в себе... Трах - бах, и купил новое-вот мой ремонт.
Каждому свое))), не я наоборот люблю старые вещи да и приятно в руках держать историю. Таких вещей уже не выпускают и выпускать не будут, антиквариат одним словом.)))

Да совершенно верно, фунционал: отвёртка, молоток, топор, открывашка, и гвоздодор.

@@jakubbujdos9519 As far as I know, they were produced by several countries, these are the USSR, the USA and the GDR. I have not seen modern models. At the Ebay auction, these models come across, they are not expensive from about 5 to 30 dollars.
