- Whilst in search for my next bike i considered lots of different types!
some similar some not, theres still a few bikes id love to try.
the hyper ended up being my bike of choice as i think it ticks so many boxes.
Id love to know your opinion on bikes in comparison to the hyper. As the hyper falls into such a unique category of its own.
thanks for watching, and thanks for all the comments and recommendations for future content.
Had a Tuono 1100 factory, flippin awesome bike.. super focused on road and better on track. Had an MT10.. perfect for roads and stupid funny on track.. but having a Hyper and being a Ducati is just that something different - im constantly going into the garage for an excuse to look at it
Can you go more into detail mt10 vs hyper? Street, twisties, wheelies, handling etc. Thanks!
Excellent makes a lot of sense to I should buy an old bike to practice on if I like then buy the new 950 hypo
I'm a returning biker after having 10 years off, strangely, the z900rs turned my eye and got me looking, i then found the 950 hyper...looks fantastic but didn't want to chuck it down the road wheelie.... I bought a 701 husqvarna sm to learn to wheelie, get confidence and keep my speed down but I am lusting after a tuono v4 but time will tell .. gotta learn the 701 first, btw like the vid mate O/
Great video i was wondering the same thing when i was shopping around.I have a 2020 500excf with the dirt and supermotos, the bike is awesome and really nimble in the turns with plenty of low end torque. Pulls pretty hard through all the gears but i really wanted something more capable on the highway so i ended up with the base 950hyper too
This one tops my wish list
Loving your videos , trading my tuono factory in next week for an sp .Tuono is superb however every time I’m on it I am finding you have to go super quick to get the most out of it as it’s that capable. I am also fortunate enough to have a superduke R which is a keeper and again loads of fun with the huge torque. We have loads of good roads around where I live that will probably be more fun on the hyper . I also used to have the older 939 which I should have kept . Keep up the good work . Chris
Thanks Chris. Very nice id love a super duke. Have you had it on a circuit?
Youll certainly like the hyper lots of fun under 60 mph👌
Thanks
Tommy i have a 2021 Scrambler 1100 , but cant get my mind away from these hypers , would there be much difference ?, my riding is mainly winding hills
The things that made me like this one is it makes u feel like you are in control of this machine on the basis of its ergonomics, the uprite posture with a wide bars and tall suspension man you just don't crouch
I was considering the 950 SP to replace my 1100 Tuono. Didn’t do it. Somehow I couldn’t connect like I did with the Aprilia; can’t explain why.
I love the aprilia. Such a good bike at so many different things. Track, road , and just to have a nice casual ride 👌
how do you feel the maintenance and reliability have been on the 950? 950 was on the top of my list till realizing the electronics are so limiting. Now considering a 701 or 690 SMC R as a happy medium, but those seem like a pain in the ass for longer rides.
Everything has been fine for me. Not had any issues.
Back when I had the 939 2017 model I had a small issue when the bike wouldn't start a few times. Battery was charged. It only happened a few times. Apart from that didn't ha e any issues
I have a 20 plate 690 smc r. It's so restricted and slow. You need to spend another couple of thousand on mods to get it going, then it's ok. But should of got a 950sp I think.
Have you thought about the Aprilia Dorsoduro 900?
Noticed you not running any mirrors.. manage to cope ok with visibility?
It's not 2 bad. I find I always looking over my shoulder a lot, checking who's around. 🙈 it would be easy to get arrested on one of these bikes
Can't see anything in them anyway as they vibrate so much 😜
I’m on my second 939 SP and they run like shit below 4000 rpm.
Their appeal is much more narrowly focused than most bikes. The novelty of the Hypermotard is fading for me.
i think ur video is pretty interesting and u seem to have a nice knowledge about the topic, but the video quality makes it pretty hard to watch/hear it... at least for me, could u maybe reupload a version where u speak a tiny little bit slower and remove the swoosh in the backround, respectuflly joe
Hi Joe, thanks for the feedback really appreciate it as I'm wanting to improve is as many areas as possible. At the moment I'm on a ship so it's very difficult to remove a lot of the background noise. The speaking is certainly an area I can help with 😄 your not the first to notice my dodgy norther accent 🙈
I'll hopefully be uploading another video within a week and will do my best to address the above 👌
@@tommychapman4650 thats cool to hear, keep going
