- Hello friends. I finally completed the ICMs 1/72 MiG-25 Foxbat. It took me three months to build. I used a lot metal accesories from Eduard and Metallic Detailes. Hope you like it. If you want to see more of my work you join me and Facebook or Instagram. See you soon in another videobuild. :)

Очень хорошая работа и красивая модель! Серьезный подход к построению модели, тем более в наличии хороший инструмент и большое количество модельной химии. От себя могу посоветовать следующее для придания модели еще большей копийности: 1. Необходимо имитировать герметик на фонаре, это легко сделать - можно краской, но я предпочитаю надуть аэрографом розовую краску на декальную бумагу и из нее резать полоски, которые как декаль переносить на фонарь. 2. При таких следах эксплуатации (имитирование выгорания, потеков и прочее) нужно "приглушать" декали, особенно технические надписи, т.к. они сильно пестрят, способ прост, в футуру (глянцевый лак) добавляем совсем немного краски основного цвета, в данном случае серого и с близкого расстояния аккуратно тонким слоем напыляем на приклеенные уже на модель декали, контролируя степень их приглушения. Главное не переборщить, в результате должны быть как бы выгоревшие надписи и опознавательные знаки. 3. Под алюминий лучше всего сначала задувать черным цветом, тогда алюминий будет выглядеть еще лучше. 4. Можно добавить ДУАСы (так называемые "флюгерцы" из фототравления, но можно сделать из согнутой соответствующим образом тонкой проволоки и приплюснутой в виде "флажочка" - мелочь, но добавляет зрелищности. И другие доработки. Теперь о небольших неточностях: на Васильковских бортах антиблик перед фонарем имеет края ниже, таким образом, что резервный ПВД стоит на антиблике и его основание тоже покрашено в черный цвет. Передняя кромка стабилизаторов должна быть серебристого цвета. Ракеты не имели золотистого цвета. Повторюсь в целом - очень зрелищная получилась модель!

IMHO, Foxbat is the best looking weapon of war ever. Just pure aggression and evil from every angle you look at it. Awesome machine.

Very nice build, of one of the "snakiest" aircraft ever. I remember building this aircraft in the 70s, the Hasegawa kit with the boxart of the partly tarpaulined plane that had defected to Japan...

Well, a beautiful Foxbat! You are right when you said that ICM produced the best Mig-25, in any scale. I've built this but in 48th scale. Same brake down of the parts, after all yours it's a scale down version of 48th kit. I also struggled with the underbelly joint of front and main fuselage but managed in the end to a satisfactory result .
Anyway a superb result from you! For the metallic parts consider using AK Xtreme Metal . They're great for those kind of works and over a gloss black they look the part.

Yes. But I have the Zvezdas MiG-31 in my stash.
ПДС это перехватчик доработаный в строю! Тойсть на ремзаводе и он имел тоже оборудование что и ПД но не имел возможности нести топливный бак под фюзеляжем!
Мне очень понравился этот огромный топливный бак. Поэтому я повесил его под корпус.

I am glad i watched your video , i was going to buy one , but if this is an example of the best foxbat you can buy , the amount of filler you need and the amount of work you need to do , in my book its not worth it , why oh why cant the people who engineer kits now a days make them fit perfectly , it seems that the fit of kits has not improved much since i started modelling in the mid 70s especially aircraft from the Soviet union , it seems that kit makers dont really care much about Soviet aircraft or tank models , you can buy numerous German and US kits of aircraft and tanks where the fit is much better and the kits are better engineered .
I agree. There is olny a few manufactures with the quality for a decent soviet, russian tech. You would be surprised how bad was the previouse ICM MiG-25. This new Kit is worth the shot. Trust me.
do you apply a matt varnish coat before the oil paints?
Yes. Its much better them a glossy coat.

I dont think so. Its a more advanced kit. Try something more easier to assemble.
Why 4 ir missiles. Did it not fly with 2 radar and 2 ir one of each on each wing? ir ones are rounded nose while the radar ones have a conic nose.
Because the radar guided missiles were not included in the kit.
