    ----------
Jayson Williams opened up to VladTV about a 2002 incident where a gun went off in his home, hitting a limo driver named Costas "Gus" Christofi.
Williams revealed that he had some Harlem Globetrotters players at his home after taking his family to see them play, and Christofi was hired to drive the players to Williams' home. From there, Jayson was showing off his gun collection in his home when a loaded gun went off, hitting Christofi in the chest, killing him instantly.
Jayson said that he panicked and jumped in his swimming pool and was trying to come up with a story to tell the police before they arrived at his house. Jayson's trial took eight years before he was sentenced to prison time for aggravated assault. To hear the full story and Jayson speaking about the remorse he has over the situation, hit the above clip.

THE FOUR RULES OF GUN SAFETY
    1. All guns are always loaded
    2. Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy

Genuine? About ruining the lives of countless people around him? His friends-the witnesses testified so many things that go against this interview. He initially said it was a suicide before ballistics proved that was physically impossible. It was then admitted he used racial slurs prior to and while in his home towards the victim. Testimony that he specifically called the VICTIM a racial slur BEFORE shooting him, clearly addressing his presence but now in this interview claiming he had no idea the victim was in his home? Can we also acknowledge that his CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN were admittedly in the home while this occurred. His children have also come out and spoken against him and about the abuse they dealt with from him their entire childhood. Locking one of his daughter’s in a trash chute? Neglecting the and not paying child support. His daughter’s calling him a deadbeat, abusive, unremorseful, actively speaking out against their dad receiving accolades for character he does not possess. Imagine those were your children. Where you find anything to admire about this man is disturbing. What about the victim? His friends who were forced to be part of this? His children who were present during this? The family and friends of the victim? Please explain to me how this man who spent almost no time in jail committed a HOMOCIDE, a hate crime, recklessly endangered every single person in his home at the time INCLUDING his own children and grandchildren, obstructed justice but was still inducted into the st.john’s hall of fame is in emotional turmoil.

If your closest friends and family members willingly spoke their truth about you-there must be some truth to it. His daughters wrote a letter to St.John’s to express what they have been through as a direct result of their father & how rewarding him after all of the ugly he has shown is disgusting. Giving him any sort of acknowledgment commending who he MAY be now diminishes the experiences he inflicted on so many BEFORE he decided to change. The man he killed was also a recovering addict & had a major role in a treatment center where he helped changed the lives of so many to give back to the community once he achieved sobriety. Jayson has now done the same but maybe if he wasn’t a scumbag back then he could’ve learned something from the driver. Maybe he has now learned his lesson but remorse does not bring the driver back. The driver turned his life around and deserved to be rewarded for his hard work, did not deserve to be killed by someone who needed to kill someone to reflect on the monster of a person he is.
