This is what I don't get about westerners.
They go to the nastiest places ever in India.
and then complain it's terrible. You're literally going to the beggar zone! They barely have money to eat food, they were born on the streets, their parents threw them away, lot of orphans, they are grown, no education, do you think they care about hygiene?!
It's like going to Pakistan or Taliban and getting caught as hostage by some terrorist organization. No sane Pakistani citizen would even go near them.

with a population of 1.43 billion extreme poverty ( that these videos mainly focus at) accounts for 10.2% of all people which still is a very large number, now for anyone from anyother nation the number of poor people he will come to see can be more than the number of people he met in his whole life.
(all respect to this 10.2% of our people, i help when ever i am able to)
but imagine if such small percentage is visible in every fucking video on the internet where is the rest 89.8 % that do have enough to live a normal healthy life?
do you think this 89.8% populations lives in those slums and gullies that are shown in your videos? probably some of them but a large number of them do not.
we have well made infrastructures, metros, etc. are they ever shown in any of these video and documentaries? nope. why? idk
talking about this video in particular, this area is somewhere in old delhi and for that old city things will look a bit congested. but why didnt he went to new delhi which is the capital of our country ? its was hardly 13km and equipped with best public services and street food as well.

@@kartikeyamishra4269 I have been to India before, and tbh you just exemplified the "not my problem" attitude I saw so frequently there. Also using the large population argument is kinda disingenuous, as nobody is going to see all 1.5 billion people so everything will be proportional to the number of people they see. When I visited it wasn't even the poverty, it was the absolute indifference to cleanliness that I saw, and lots of people who clearly keep their houses clean but have no problem dirtying shared areas. I guess it's easier for Indians to think it's a big conspiracy theory than to look around

As an Indian, yes, street food is unhygienic, but I don't understand the Westerner's obsession with Indian street food. Dude, if you're not poor, why even consume that unhygienic street food? Just go to any decent restaurant and have your meal. Restaurant food is slightly more expensive than street food but still quite cheap and miles ahead in hygiene standards.

Indian cuisine is one of the best in the world but has sadly been unfortunately been misrepresented by the image of street food vendors. These vendors primarily cater to the less affluent locals who have built up immunity from daily consumption, not tourists.
As a lower-middle-class family, we strictly patronize established eateries, avoiding street food. It’s misguided for tourists to criticize Indian food based on their street food experiences, as it’s not intended for them. This misstep leads to an unjust critique of the rich and diverse Indian culinary landscape and plainly ruins our image.... Based on a few attention seeking tourists , you have money and choose not to eat at a restaurant but a poor mans vendor and expect hygiene food lmao what foolishness and entitlement.

Being in India as a tourist also means to ignore just all streetfood, Ice-products, open drinks, non-fried food it could go on and on, but there are some decent restaurants (don‘t even have to be too expensive) that make great food.
Especially there is a restaurant-chain which I just remember because of their consequently uncleaned windows, which made great food.
