- The #Oscars is a night to celebrate the best movies of the year, but Jimmy wanted to thank all the people that actually go and see movies. So he grabbed Gal Gadot, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mark Hamill, Lupita Nyong’o, Emily Blunt, Ansel Elgort, Armie Hammer, Margot Robbie and Guillermo del Toro from the Oscars audience and broke into a screening of A Wrinkle in Time next door at the TCL Chinese Theatre to surprise and thank them in person.

no they usually thank the fans, and moviegoers are part of the fans last time i checked; they're just being more specific this time which i think is kind of corny because they're only thanking those that pay direct money to watch their movies and ignoring those that love their work but can't afford it. 🤔

IIRC a lot include "the fans" or "audiences" in their acceptance speeches but this is far better. because at the end of the day if nobody cared and spent money on movies/TV they'd all be without a job. thus one can say the movie goers are actually the most important part of this whole hollywood machine.

If this was not staged, which I'm pretty sure it wasn't, but if it wasn't staged and 100% a surprise, then this was one of the best Oscar moments in Oscar history. I am so jealous, and would have loved to be there. Especially if I was high, like some people there, as Jimmy mentioned I would have enjoyed it even more.

I was there. I’m right by the ABC logo when during the wide shots in the back, jumping and clapping too hard. We got an exclusive sneak peek of A Wrinkle in Time but I had a hunch that it was in the same location and building as the Oscars.

Heath was very good overall as the joker (combining physical acting and voice acting) but for just voice work, Mark is the best as he has so much character and depth in his voice and I didn't realise it was him at first. He really brings the Joker to life in the series. For me, Mark sounded more vicious, calculating, dangerous, manipulative, crazy, malevolent, intelligent....I also liked his interpretation and the slight high pitched voice which adds to that character. I think it was whilst watching him do the Joker that I realized just how talented of an actor he is.
Sharky KittyCat The guy voiced the Joker for almost EVERY animated incarnation from the Animated Series to every movie he starred in. He IS the Joker. The voice of the Joker is iconic. Heath Ledger's Joker is phenomenal don't get me wrong, but saying Hamill's "no joker" is just insulting to what the man has done to the character with just his voice alone.
That's just it. He is just a voice. Many have done the same if not much better at doing so. Heath was the whole package, voice, acting- everything. I hate to compare them both as 1 is obviously so much better..
The only time being in the front row pays off 😂👍👏

This is amazing. Oscars have really changed its outlook of approach. With the Netflix and Amazon going strong, the moviegoers have to be appreciated and feel thankful to. Actors-Public interactions are more necessary now if they still wanna shine.

When you live in Israel you know everybody. Is a very small country, and if you live in Tel Aviv you see the people on TV later that day throwing the trash in the garbage bin. Seeing Shimon Peres walking around (that dude lived forever) or even Yasser Arafat visiting East Jerusalem was not such a rare occurrence. So people get accustomed to be around other people, maybe you say "congrats" and that´s it. I get why Gal Gadot would want to go back to feel like that, it´s normalcy.
