Mixing and Mastering My Subscriber's Songs | Ep. 3
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 26. 03. 2024
- In this music production series I show how to mix and master a song using my subscriber's music as an example. I show the process I go through to make any song sound professional from your home studio, from the basics to the more advance techniques I've taught myself over the years. Mixing vocals from start to finish can be a daunting task for any beginner musician. But I hope that this in-studio demonstration is explained well enough for anyone to get their songs release-ready.

Yoooo this is mine I REALLY APPRECIATE THISâŒïž
Youâre dope brotha đ„
Itâs got that kinda old skool smooth jazz vibes you get from a tribe called quest. Definitely Q-Tip vibes this is my jam.
Thank you guys so muchâ€ïžâŒïž
do you have an ig? i have some beats for you, you sound very unique
@@puzzacul0 @EKhalilP
Thanks! For the advice for setting BPM I really do appreciate it got more songs hitting my channel tonightâ€ïžâŒïž
You killed this mix and it was very digestible learning wise. Doesnât hurt to get a fire song. That word play on Purple Prince Guitar , and MJ being the King. This goes
Im glad you caught thatâ€ïžđȘđŸ
@@EKhalilP You are a wordsmith man. Next level. Keep creating đ„đ„đ„
Waves Harmony is the truth. If you click on the piano keys you hear dope harmonies. I haven't had time to figure out if that can be automated, but if it can it's goated. Song is dope and the mix is A1! Excellent work.
I definitely needed this video! đ„đ„
I love these â€â€â€â€
these vids are awesome! Salute!
This is a very nice bop that was submitted and I love the tios that were given in this video. Thank you Boss King & shoutout to EKalil for this song!
Thank youâŒïžâ€ïž got more coming tonight
@EKhalilP No problem, Fam! đđż I'll be on the lookout.
Did you put the same effects on the dub vocals that u cut up as the main vocal? Btw great tips keep em comingâŠ.
How do I go about having you mix one of my songs???
You dont prefer to use track stacks for group processing?
Not sure what you mean by âtrack stacksâ. are you talking about busses? If so, I am doing that in all of these videos.
@@IAMLXGEND czcams.com/video/ovZ9R2EcJRk/video.html you create a 'folder' or a summing track stack of the tracks that you want to treat the same. i noticed you have a lot of tracks that have the same settings give or take if theyre in the same group and copy and paste the plugins. i can't quite tell if you're doing something different with each track (for example background vocals) or treating them the same. if same treatment for all i believe putting them into a track stack would also help save CPU resources. just didn't see any track stacks at all in your session so curious if you're aware and choose not to use it.
I have a Q. So far in this series itâs all you same kinda music Genre. Can you go out of your comfort zone and do other types of music? Maybe youâll find it more challenging and be out of your comfort zone. This is just an ideas comment would love people to send something different to see how you tackle them. After a while all these tracks kinda start blending into together and kinda start losing their identity. Something that happens when you have an awesome collection of tunes that are similar in vibe.
Firstly, Iâm not sure how many of these episodes youâve seen but they are not all the same kind of music genre.
Episode 1 - R&B
Episode 2 - Dance / Afrobeat
Episode 3 - Rap
Entirely different genres with different methods aside from the compressor Iâm using.
Secondly, I canât magically just make the music an obscure genre. The songs I mix and master are based solely on the submissions I get. I canât dictate what people are going to send me. If I donât mix rock songs thatâs because nobody submitted a rock song, if I donât mix classical music thatâs because nobody submitted classical music, if I donât mix reggae or pop or heavy metal thatâs because nobody submitted reggae, pop, or heavy metal. I understand what youâre saying but you have to understand I can only deal with the cards I am dealt. Aka I can only mix what is sent to me.
It also should be said that half of these submissions are sent to me in an incorrect format which I made known multiple times. So if there are songs in other categories that youâd want to see, some of them werenât sent to me in the proper format. Which means I canât mix them.
So unless you have a song yourself that you want to send in, in whatever genre you want to see me do, and itâs sent to me in the proper format then thereâs absolutely nothing I can do about that.
@@IAMLXGEND thanks for the complete info run down didnât expect such a full answer yep Iâve seen all those. They still give off similar vibes and of a typical genre. I meant no offense I was asking in an innocent way with lots of hope an excitement for what your doing. It was also a question to the viewers. I completely get that you can only do what is sent in. Iâve only seen those 3 episodes not the rest of your music. Have you worked on things like classical music, rock music, country music, Chinese music that type of stuff cos Iâm super stoked to see what the viewers can send in and excited to see what you can do with things I wouldnât expect. Thatâs was all I meant. Hope that clarifies what I meant đ
