  • By the end of Year 1, KCUMB medical students will have the skills to complete a problem-focused encounter in a safe setting with a standardized patient (actor). In this video, two students who (years 3 and 4) demonstrated these skills. Of course, we would not expect a first year student to be as smooth as this, but all of our grads have these skills.

some incongruences( non smoking counseling, none ROS, or sexual H) but most of all, best medical student interview ever. Thank you so much for sharing.

They are supposed to ask questions. Unfortunately, after they qualify the business people start ruling docs practices, and all goes to hell

    Counselling note.
NSAIDS not recommended in asthmatics. Use a different pain killer like tylenol

Should we shake their hand at the end of the encounter?

It was great! However, did she leave out the patient counseling part of smoking.

At the beginning of the interview it would assist the student with creating a fluid connection with the patient, if asked, "Would it be alright/okay for me to take notes while we talk"?

Do you have a checklist available for the patient history portion? Nice work.

I love the follow ups. Take time getting ready, shower, clean clothes, maybe even get up earlier
than usual, wait to be seen, and the Doctor spends 30 seconds with you.

Reminds me of years of this after my car accident. She needs to refer HER to a PAIN CLINIC, chiropractor, and physical therapist. I know because I went through this. My accident almost killed me, was in the hospital for days. Thank goodness for my pain clinic, physical therapy, and chiropractor. 👩🏽‍⚕️

Jesus Christ saves today! "For all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God." (Bible). "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ." (Romans)

      Yeah.
      Congratulations!
haha, a bit strange to congratulate someone who may have been married for a decade.
