  • This is the latest Inland Rail Calvert to Kagaru project fly through video. Released in December 2019, the new features include 3 dimensional visualisations of bridges, viaducts, embankments, cuttings, crossing loops, tunnel and road and rail interfaces. The fly through represents the current proposed design and is for illustration purposes.
The Calvert to Kagaru (C2K) section is one of 13 projects that complete Inland Rail. This section of Inland Rail is in Queensland and involves the design and construction of approximately 53km of new dual gauge track. The alignment diverts from the West Moreton rail line near Calvert and connects to the existing Sydney to Brisbane interstate rail line at Kagaru, providing convenient access for freight to major distribution centres at Bromelton and Acacia Ridge. It will include building a new one kilometre tunnel to create an efficient route through the steep terrain of the Teviot Range.
