    I absolutely love the video intro today.
    I loved the energy, the dynamic range was not very good but pretty crazy intro.

      Thank you so much, Daniel! Yeah, the dynamic range is not perfect as it was a sunny day :)

    Just got mine!... as a very Early Bird, it was just over $1K (EU version)... great build quality. Only gripe... no instructions! Particularly for the ride computer, and I had to work out how to start it on my own. They have now introduced a couple of 'starter' videos which help. It did come with front child seat (which I guess I may as well put on?) and some mirrors. I am hoping that they do actually add the extras that they are talking about? Mine does not have the rear seat... but maybe the EU 250KW motor is not strong enough, and I could really do with the basket which is listed but not available!

      I just got mine a few weeks ago. I love this bike! I do agree, though, that we really need a manual. I would be fine with a PDF version that we could download. They do have a manual on the Afreda site for the digital display, which is how I figured out how to set the display to miles instead of km. (I'm in the US.) Right now, I am going through all the review videos because that is showing me features that I might not have discovered independently, in lieu of having an actual manual to refer to.
      I find it amusing that the horn on the review bikes sounds different from the ones on the bikes the backers got. I guess Afreda listened to the feedback about the sound quality, and they gave the final version of the bike a deeper-pitched horn that has a little buzz to it.

      I got mine not running and no company support. They don’t even respond to queries. Total loss!

    Good review, I guess I am a bit biased as I have already ordered one ,as you point out the batteries are not removable for charging, but as one can fold the vehicle and take the entire thing into your residence for charging , this would not be too much of a problem, unless one lives on an upper story in a building without a lift, as the near 35 kilo weight could be difficult for some to carry...I have been interested in this suspension design for some time as it seems to offer significant advantages in front end traction and particularly in braking traction...Keep up the good work and the Best to You and Yours

      @TechLineHD  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for the feedback! Yes, you are right about removable batteries but I wanted to mention this to be unbiased. It’s a fantastic and crazy looking bike that I will keep using for a while!

    I am 6’4” and 285 lbs, do you think I could actually fit on this? Recently handicapped and would love a stable electric vehicle to get back outdoors. Thank you for your assistance.

      @TechLineHD  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes, it will fit you fine. A friend of mine who is also here in this video (wearing slippers and shorts) is 6'5" and weighs 220. Your weight is fine of this bike too.

    I know Alfreda advertise different MOTOR wattages for both the European and US market where vehicle laws have different regulations. For the EU Afreda provide a 250W MOTOR and 500W MOTOR for the US market. I'm not in either of these markets but in my country the law states that "the motor must have a maximum power output not exceeding 300W."
    The maximum possible wattage stated on the electric motor is not necessarily the same as the maximum power output of the S6 e-bike.
    Does this mean a MOTOR wattage of 500W may have a combined power output of 300W or less? Especially when taking into consideration the weight of the S6 and any extra weight put on it?

    Hardly a bike. More like an all terrain disabled person's cart. the dual batteries are cool, if only they would come of. You should have tested riding the bike perpendicular to a steep incline or one wheel on those stairs. dual seat and folding are also cool - especially if carting around old people. It weighs less than the electric folding cart I schlepped my father in for years. I'd buy this for me if I am ever unable to walk and bike.

    Hmmm, with no pedals, not technically a class I II or III eBike as far as riding on trails and other non-motorized areas. Motorized scooter only.

  • @mattyb527
    @mattyb527 Před rokem +5

    You are referring to it as an "E-Bike", but it is not a bicycle at all. There are no pedals or chain to drive the "bike". This is considered and advertised as a scooter since the electric motor is the sole propulsion mechanism. Either way, it is an interesting design and fills the hole in the market for city commuters.

    It could be a barging purchase as a fast mobility scooter to drive to and more importantly
    to drive into Walmart, Home Depot . I would drive it in to a dollar store a 7-11

      Avoid this trike as it is always broken. Have yet to ride it for pleasure. Controller broken and needed replacement twice, then it would not charge. After four months of running it in to a repair shop I am giving up. $2000. USD write off.

    The bike horn is really going to be effective against all the bozos walking in front of you wearing ear buds or headphones - listening to music.

    • @donnam7382
      @donnam7382 Před rokem

      The horn on the final version is likely to be even more effective at attracting attention, as the pitch is lower and it's got a bit of buzz to it now.
      Still, anyone who rides any sort of bike where there are lots of pedestrians will need some good braking reflexes, because some people pay zero attention to their surroundings before stepping off a curb into the street.
