    Thanks for the VLOG, it's fun and informative to watch during my work day!

    One thing I’ve implemented that Pops does is flip drawers around if they have a free spot/division or room for more. Then you can at-a-glance see what’s got room without having to go drawer by drawer as you’re talking about around 8:00

    Would definitely not force order. Though when someone (new account or not) says schipping is too high, i tend to look at this as an opertunity to help the person and might knock off a, (for both sides agreeable), percentage of the schipping costs. U might loose some profit, but gain trust and a positive story for this person to tell around. Which is a big bonus for the store's name and reputation. ;-)

    Do you have any plans or pictures of the wooden frame you build to mount the drawer units on?

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  Před 8 měsíci

      I don't believe we do. Each one is different depending on where it was mounted. It is a pretty basic construction in general though. Basically it is just the sides and top butte jointed and screwed in. Diagonal supports in each corner, then support beams behind each mounting beam. There is also one vertical support in the middle.
      If you join us for our next stream (this Saturday at 2:30 PM PST) we may be able to give you more information. Evan built them, not me, so he may be more familiar.

    Yeah right, buyer thought the shipping cost was too much, so customer canceled after already placing the order. I don't think they realize how much shipping goes up after 16 oz 1lb.

    In the UK a buyer is able to cancel any online order under the Distance Selling Regulations. I think it applies across the EU also. This over rules any Bricklink terms. I did email BL to advise them to which they replied their conditions are relevant not local laws??

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket

      Thanks for your reply. I am definitely not a lawyer and don't want to give any mis-information. That said, I took a look at this web-page www.gov.uk/online-and-distance-selling-for-businesses and it seems to me that the DSR only applies to orders placed over TV ads, Mail order, text message, and phone.
      I'm not from the UK though, but I am interested. If you have any other information I'd be happy to hear about it.
      I have no idea what Bricklink meant by their conditions over-rule local laws... that sounds like either a typo or an error. It is true that a US business doesn't need to follow UK law, but only if they aren't selling to UK customers. (We are not lawyers, this is just speculation)

      It is correct that in Europe a customer has a 14 day grace period in which he/she/they/it/… can decide to cancel their order at no cost without having to give a reason for it. (Usually they will have to pay for the return shipment)

      @@JustABrickInTheBucket sorry Paul, meant to say Bricklink felt their conditions take precedence over Local Regulations, which I thought was bizarre. I would only telling them out of courtesy as in the UK it was incorrect

    • @stevebrown1334
      @stevebrown1334 Před 8 měsíci

      @@willebrickstore correct, but if it hadn’t been shipped then they can cancel without penalty. We are talking about UK to UK orders. It applies to any form of online order. In theory this is only in a business situation but even if a shop said they were a hobby shop they would have to comply as Bricklink is the hub.

      Interesting. Do you know if they are required to first contact us or whether they can just issue a charge back and mail it back. The latter would be very annoying.
