  • This abandoned mine was operated by Sloss Sheffield and Iron Company in the 1920s. With such little top cover, you now have roots growing from above and piercing through the top. #underground #urbex #abandonded

    Hi, I'd have thought it would be easier to just rip the coal out open cut from the surface. That crumbly sandstone dosnt look too hard to me!

    Make you aware not touch or bump ceiling

    Almost looks like some bootleggers got in there or people getting coal for themselves.The little piece at the top of the prop is a wedge or shim helps hold them in place tightly.Any air flow brother?
