My dream comes true: 1st time played live: "Bending", "Skyline's", "Prometheus", "Revanchist". Long time: "Ascendancy", "Schylla & Charybdis", "The Rats", "Detonation" We need a T.D.C. II with some songs of 'Ember', 'Vengeance', 'Snow, & 'Sentence' albums. It would be AWESOME 👏😀
I've been a nonstop fan ever since Ascendency. I'm so proud of this band. You can actually tell their work ethic is sharp because every time their playing gets better and better. I love you guys! Love from Puerto Rico ❤
It absolutely makes it even better that they're playing songs that have rarely if at all been played live. Suffocating Sight is one of my favorite songs ever!!!
@tacoburrito Swanson absolutely. I've loved mostly everything they've done but maybe it's just nostalgia that gets the best of me when I put on Ascendancy. That's just one of those records I can't just listen to one song, if a song randomly plays on whatever Playlist I'm listening too I'll immediately just go to album and listen to it's entirety. Iowa by Slipknot is in that same exact category.
I swear Trivium is the greatest band ever. The Light from a Distant Mirror tour inspired me to do something here in North Carolina. I got together with a venue here in Greensboro called Club Orion's and were going live September 4th with some awesome local metal bands from all genres. I wouldnt have had the idea or the balls to do it without Trivium absolutely rocking my house with amazing live content so thank you guys so much for getting ahead of the curve and inspiring local metal bands to do something during this trying time. Also hearing No Way to Heal today made my entire god damn month so FUCKING THANK YOU PAOLO!!!

The Revanchist sounds even better live than the studio version because it’s a song I can easily envision a crowd singing along with them and Matt hits those crazy high notes!

I love everything about this, but let me just say this. Watching how effortlessly Alex plays is so very soothing to witness. Cant wait to see you guys again one day soon!
Always loved the bass in 'Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis'. The start of it almost sounds like a different genre of music, like a techno-metal/instrumental. It's badass.
Increíble tocar riffs tan complejos y a la vez cantar, Matt es mi ídolo, un genio absoluto. Trivium la mejor banda para mi, gracias por estos momentos que nos permiten disfrutar ARTE

I got to see Trivium live in 2005, in West Palm Beach FL during their Ozzfest run. I remember my band popped on Ember and Ascendency and being pumped. Their set was awesome, and I knew I was in for the long haul. I'm glad to see how they have remained through the years, and likely have the lineup that will set them in legend status beyond the fan base. Here's to 20 more years boys. 🤘🏽
Our species has always adapted to situations and the Covid era is no different, Trivium have shown that even if we can't physically be in the same room, being able to see them play and with quality sound and production is very possible nowadays Thank you so much, I paid for the Full Sail Show and this was just as fun to listen to and watch, as soon as we can have shows again I'll be seeing you in a UK venue once more that's for sure and if you plan on releasing some live recordings on CD I'll definitely buy 1 🤘😈🤘

The first time I ever saw Trivium live was during their In Waves release back in 2011 and I was lucky enough for them to play in my city the first week of release. I was so pumped that they played Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis that night, it was EPIC AS HELL. I’ve been hooked on this song for a long time and love the instrumentals. Hearing it again and hearing Alex nail this part really shows their dedication to consistency. Hell yeah!!!!!!

This was amazing. And correct-- Trivium doesn't get enough credit for doing things like this. They are a headline for American heavy metal history and leadership, and no one should forget it. The fans certainly know Trivium delivers
I was woken up by this show on autoplay and now I can't go back to sleep, I have to hear the whole thing. It's incredible. Thank you, Trivium, for consistently being one of the most solid performers in the industry and doing what you do. You have an impressive opus, so I respect the fact that you always manage to pull out and mix so many older songs with whatever new stuff you're promoting. Shogun and In Waves are legendary.
First-timer here. This is really cool! I'd literally never heard your stuff before, but this is a killer introduction. Thank you for doing the free show, and props to you for doing deep cuts!
Trivium is the next iron maiden. Always ahead of the curve. And some other band will get credit for a trend they start. Remember when bands started playing their popular classic album in its entirety? Maiden played their NEW album front to back and got shit on for it. Also, this set list is just incredible. Trivium, keep doing what you're doing!
It's a relief to hear Detonation, To The Rats and Torn Between Schylla and Charybdis with consistent tempo and without being sped-up and butchered with unnecessary fills by Nick Edit: Wow! Thanks for the likes! Also, I thought Matt was gonna struggle with To The Rats. I'm actually surprised he nailed the entire song using clean vocals instead of resorting to screams like he did in 2009
Thank you so much #Trivium for playing To The Rats after such a long time ...And you guys should have played Sever The Hand as well ...Anyways, Alex Bent you are a friggin monster behind the kit...That’s the drummer #Trivium should stick to forever 😎😎😎
Honestly, this has to be one of the best Trivium live performances I've seen online! The audio is exceptional for a live stream, the song choices are great, and all the members of the band seem to be really relaxed and having a lot of fun! Looking forward to more of these!
Glad to see all of this. I covered 3rd shift Friday for a friend, due to a family emergency, last minute. As a result I accidentally fell asleep before this started and only caught the back end of the stream. That being said, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again but I absolutely love Alex on drums. Everyone kills their parts but in no other band that I listen to have I cared about the drums as I do with Alex behind the kit in Trivium.

Corey doesn't talk to much, I think this was one of the few times in this streaming and paolo keeps bla bla bla, hahaha
shocker
Man. When All Light Dies was sooo good!!!!
I wanted it faster :/ but it was very nice to hear it with Matt's new screams
Best Trivium Song ever
@@ptr_does_music7042 sounds with olds scream much better

The greatest
I pissed myself laughing when matt makes a mistake with the lyrics at the beggining of Detonation, you can clearly hear him say "oh oh" then looks sheepishly at the camera then corey and paolo to see if they'd noticed then just carried on LMFAO!!!!!
Right when that part ends (27:29) he quickly says “that works” as well. Gosh, this guy haha
You know you f*cked him up writing this?😬😂
No man, Paolo and Corey are straight professional. They heard Matt mess up and didnt miss a beat! 😂 then he messes up immediately in No Way To Heal. No hate Matt at all, youre still the shit and we love you for all the years of good jams man!
@@epetimiya oh sh*t i hope not lol that wasn't my intention, i just thought matts reaction was funny
@@TheMetalMarci Think he actually said, "forgot the words" just super fast lol
It's funny to think we've come full circle from where Trivium were in 2007.
I remember seeing them play Rain at Download with Matt singing all the words and not screaming. Now here we are in 2021 with a version of Detonation with loads of screaming in it as opposed to singing.
Great show anyway - really enjoyed it
When yo do this so every one of your fans can have an hour to think of something else that is happening in their lifes... well you guy are the best band out there, doing this for free, for the fan that may have all the money in the world to the one who has been let go of a job!!!! Hats off!!!!🤘🏻
1st band that got me into heavy metal. Without Trivium, I wouldn't be into heavy metal. I don't know if the guys from Trivium read these comments but I just want to say I am eternally grateful and want to say THANKS to each and every one of you for getting me through some dark times. Keep it metal family \m/
Listening to "Of Prometheus and the Crucifix" just made my life. Made me think back to being 14 when I was only 4 years into playing guitar, laying in bed with my shitty mp3 player with earbuds in, and riding to the doctor an hour away regularly with my mom, jamming out to the entire Shogun album.
I can't express how happy it made me to hear Callisto live. It has been my favorite Trivium song since day 1 and it meant so much to be able to hear it and finally see how Corey plays that damn solo!
Yes. But i don't really think this tuning works for Callisto. It sounds weird.
@@xxreidxx2362 Just set the youtube speed to .75 or .50 and it makes it a lot easier. I can learn it by ear at this point knowing that it's just shredding and not sweeps/tapping.
I honestly didn't even notice they went down.
I saw them live in Brisbane not long ago and they played Callisto and To The Rats live. It was so sick
THE REVANCHIST, BABY!!!
I got so so many chills from this show, and you absolutely killed it even with the more simple setup! Comes to tell that all your songs are legendary - but The Revanchist is perfection!
Honestly it feels like a dream come true to see them perform the revanchist lol. Easily my all time favorite trivium song
Matt was belting the fuck out of that song. damn!
Hearing the Crusade cuts made me smile. Love the Power Trip cover. RIP Riley
I was hoping they'd put it up on YT since I had to work during the show
Same! This band is so great to their fans... I am just bummed I'll never get to see ALOADM...
@@KolaTheBear They're planning to release ALOADM to everyone in the future just like they did with the Chapman Sessions, so don't lose hope yet!
@@KolaTheBear I requested off work for that one! lol didn't have time to for this one, it was only announced earlier in the week
Trivium live streaming a concert of rare or unplayed songs is the only plus of this pandemic. So glad you guys did this
YES!! A Skyline Severance is finally played live, it's my favorite In Waves song.
S.A.M.E. 🤘😃🤘
Same. Probably the heaviest Trivium song. LOVE the outro riffs.
I know Matt went through a crazy amount of technical difficulties to help pull this together but HOLY SHIT this has no business sounding as good as it does. Just unreal.
Absolutely loved this show when it was live! Gonna have this one running on the speakers again 🤘🔥
I would love to hear:
To burn the eye
Declaration
Unrepentant
He who spawned the furies
Drowning in slow motion
Through blood and dirt and bone
Dead and gone
Beauty in the sorrow
Any off WTDMS
Departure then right after declaration would be epic
He who spawned the furious is such an amazing song
Ohhhh man! Could you imagine Departure and Declaration for the final boss? This would be so glorious!
tacoburrito Swanson they played it at rock am ring, I think. If you go to the rock am ring website, you should somehow be able to stream that show :)
Seeing any band or performer doing something like this is really cool, impressive, and speaks so highly of them when they are so committed to the fans...
...but when the music is at this level, and they’re doing it “DIY” as he says, you just can’t help but respect them even more.
One of the best groups of guys out there, period.
Skyline's Severance is probably my fav Trivium song, can't believe they've never played it live!
Same here. The whole song is killer but that outro is amazing!
A SKYLINE'S SEVERANCEEEEEEEEEEE
Well it’s their hardest solo soooooo

My dream comes true:
1st time played live: "Bending", "Skyline's", "Prometheus", "Revanchist".
Long time: "Ascendancy", "Schylla & Charybdis", "The Rats", "Detonation"
We need a T.D.C. II with some songs of 'Ember', 'Vengeance', 'Snow, & 'Sentence' albums.
It would be AWESOME
👏😀
Straight Banger Sunday i suppose 😂😂
also the first time for a skylines severance
@@MetalJams My favorite song from I.W.
They've already played Prometheus
Why don't they play Ascendancy? Seems like it would be a staple of live shows.
I've been a nonstop fan ever since Ascendency. I'm so proud of this band. You can actually tell their work ethic is sharp because every time their playing gets better and better. I love you guys! Love from Puerto Rico ❤
It's a crime that A Skyline's Severance has never been played live before
It absolutely makes it even better that they're playing songs that have rarely if at all been played live. Suffocating Sight is one of my favorite songs ever!!!
Suffocating sight, Skyline severance and When all light dies are some of my favourites
I freakin loved hearing Callisto live 2020. Always been one of my classic favorites. BIG NUT

Also hearing No Way to Heal today made my entire god damn month so FUCKING THANK YOU PAOLO!!!
yo I'm in greensboro! I'll try and make it out! My band was supposed to have a big show on Aug. 29th but we decided to call it bc the dynamic went super south. I'd love to come support!
@@jamessmith8284 Dude that would be amazing! Our band is called Final Punishment if you wanna get an idea of what we sound like. Even if you couldn't make it out you could always tune in on Facebook! Such is the beauty of an internet based concert. \m/

@tacoburrito Swanson Thank you dude! I literally just found an awesome sound guy to hire for the night so now I'm a little less worried about the sound. Everyone's support means a whole hell of a lot though :D
Matt's range on The Revanchist's chorus is just so mind blowing. I seriously wasn't expecting that!
I thought hos head was going to explode haha
Yep, its impressing, but must say i still like in better the way he sings it on the record.

Holy moly, Prometheus and When All Light Dies! Paolo's backing vocal in Prometheus was excellent!
The Revanchist had to be my favourite. I can't believe how high Matt's vocal range is. That chorus was just awesome! This and Other Worlds are the two off TSATS that I would've loved to have seen live.
I cant get over how amazing the recording quality is for it being a "live" show. You guys rip ass always have always will!
10 records, over 100 bangers, and 4 of the best metalheads in the biz
So pissed I missed this live. Here to give the like and say Trivium fucking rock. Real metal in a world full of plastic. I want that drum kit lol. Have fun and stay safe guys.
Somehow The Crusade songs felt the most immersive. Even with Matt forgetting the words. What an incredible setlist. Just relived about 15 year of my childhood. Covid turned out good for something!
The Revanchist sounds even better live than the studio version because it’s a song I can easily envision a crowd singing along with them and Matt hits those crazy high notes!
This is why they need to release a live album. Even in a small studio, they have so much energy.
Like Callisto to a star in heaven sounds absolutely amazing.. the way Matt sings it live wholly shit.. goose bumps all over!!! Please take it into your live catalogue.. 🖤💪💪
Also how Trivium keeps it together while the chat was spamming "BIG NUT"
I love the way he sings the main chrous here.
Like Callisto to a star in heaven... HOLY SHIT AMAZING
BIG NUT!
The revanchist is one of their best songs ever
I got to see Trivium live in 2005, in West Palm Beach FL during their Ozzfest run. I remember my band popped on Ember and Ascendency and being pumped. Their set was awesome, and I knew I was in for the long haul. I'm glad to see how they have remained through the years, and likely have the lineup that will set them in legend status beyond the fan base. Here's to 20 more years boys. 🤘🏽
Our species has always adapted to situations and the Covid era is no different, Trivium have shown that even if we can't physically be in the same room, being able to see them play and with quality sound and production is very possible nowadays
Thank you so much, I paid for the Full Sail Show and this was just as fun to listen to and watch, as soon as we can have shows again I'll be seeing you in a UK venue once more that's for sure and if you plan on releasing some live recordings on CD I'll definitely buy 1 🤘😈🤘
What covid era? You mean the concert killing era?
It's insane to me that 2 decades in, Trivium is performing the best it ever has. Genuine props.
I god damn love Bending The Arc To Fear

So nice to hear Paolo singing in Scattering the ashes... And Corey killed it at all solos...
Watching this on live streaming with the chat was so immersive! Very nice experience
Alex ist the best Drummer....i am a German trivium fan for live my respect and what a good Show thanks trivium.... auf Deutsch es war
Mega gut trank you so much 🤘☝️
01:38:29 love the attention to detail in Alex’s playing. Nailed that extra measure perfectly!! It comes out of nowhere and sounds sick live.
Truly one of the best bands ever and so under-rates. You blow every band I have ever likes. And I’m 50. From Iron maiden Metallica you can name him you guys rock them out man you guys are so good I love your music bro’s
So hyped that they played The Revanchist. Favorite song off of TSATS.
22:48 one of the most badass riffs I've ever heard. I couldn't see this live and I regret it, because it's always nice to watch Trivium performing live. Keep up the good work guys, even in these tough times! \m/
Legit one of the best bands y’all are insane.
IVE BEEN LOVING EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE SINCE THE BEGINNING CANT WAIT UNTIL I GET TO SEE YOU IN DENVER IN AUGUST.BEEN WAITING SINCE LAST YEAR TO DO THIS BUT SURELY YOU WILL MAKE IT WORTH THE WAIT
20,000 TRIVIUM FANS in a 10X20ft room is METAL
The level of discipline on these guys are through the roof, now we know which kind of attitude that are expected to work with them. Just amazing✨
Shogun and In Waves are legendary.
deep cuts videos like this are seriously awesome and any metalheads dream of seeing their fav band do, thank you guys!
Amazing to hear you guys, so glad you are finding a way through this fucking pandemic, much love from England!!!!!
First-timer here. This is really cool! I'd literally never heard your stuff before, but this is a killer introduction. Thank you for doing the free show, and props to you for doing deep cuts!
Matt and the awesome members of trivium, we need a covers album. Thanks
Trivium is the next iron maiden.
Always ahead of the curve. And some other band will get credit for a trend they start.
Remember when bands started playing their popular classic album in its entirety? Maiden played their NEW album front to back and got shit on for it.
Also, this set list is just incredible. Trivium, keep doing what you're doing!
theyre opening for maiden soon
Release this as an album and I'll buy it immediately. Time to watch it again...
Never seen a band actively interact with fans as much as these guys. Very welcome change of pace 💯
My first trivium concert ever, i'll never forget it!!! love you guys from the bottom of my heart!!!
It's a relief to hear Detonation, To The Rats and Torn Between Schylla and Charybdis with consistent tempo and without being sped-up and butchered with unnecessary fills by Nick
Edit: Wow! Thanks for the likes! Also, I thought Matt was gonna struggle with To The Rats. I'm actually surprised he nailed the entire song using clean vocals instead of resorting to screams like he did in 2009
If only the bass solos on Torn Between had been a bit louder...Still cool to hear.
Poor Nick. He was such a beast in the studio but absolutely butchered every live show. Wonder if he just had crazy stage fright or what
Man, Detonation sounds so good. I honestly always like The Crusade but they really breathed new life into that song.
nick brought never again seen energy to those tracks
its like you guys have never heard nick live lmao
I love how easy Alex makes this look. One of the best in the land by far.
because he hits the drums like a child trying not to wake his parents up

Thank you so much #Trivium for playing To The Rats after such a long time ...And you guys should have played Sever The Hand as well ...Anyways, Alex Bent you are a friggin monster behind the kit...That’s the drummer #Trivium should stick to forever 😎😎😎
Yup this show solidifies the fact that im buying pit tickets to the nearest show when we can all enjoy these awesome musicians together.
Corey is an absolute beast. As a guitar player myself I truly admire him. Total respect to Matt too 😁
Suffocating Sight has been one of my favourite songs for the longest time. Seeing them do it here was awesome, killed it. Man, ascendency really holds up too.
I wish you’d release this as a live album. Best Trivium setlist I’ve ever seen.
Thank you so much!
