Edward says it all. It’s not just an acting role but an incredibly physical role. I’m in awe of it all. ❤
Edi is great!!!
It's just amazing how they emote while they dance. Absolutely lovely.
Perfectly said ❤️
I must admit that I never realised how technically difficult this pas de deux is. When Ryoichi talks about how they have to make sure that they're being safe and then the ballet coach goes on to talk about the strength required and how they've got to have really specific grips to do some of the lifts; that was the first time I realised that they could actually get physically hurt doing this. They do such a great job of emoting I never even thought about how physically hard it must be.
i LOVE the way the dancers talk about their experiences with the specific dance or ballet. they just have so much to say and it really opens my eyes to how it’s done or what they go through when doing the dance. keep up the good work! 🥰🥰🥰
If anyone knows the Dramatic and Physicality of a role, it is Edward Watson.
My absoloute favourite ballet, full of passion and really steamy in some places. It's just beautiful. You feel all their emotions, compared to something like The Nutcracker.
Amazing :Watching Natalia dance she is so unbelievable so beautiful
Such intelligent, beautiful, talented souls & bodies. How they talk about their understanding of energies, how they arrange their bodies with each other in a perfect flow. This short clip touched my heart in ways I can not describe just feel. ...i have to watch more Ballett! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
These two, utterly spectacular ❤
One of my favorite roles and ballets! ❤
Thanks for sharing this 🙏🏻
Such incredible dancing. ❤❤❤
Beautiful
My absolute FAVORITE ballet. Of all of MacMillan’s works. (I know I know; that’s a: grand testament- but true!)
Will we ever see ‘Nela’ dance the role of Mary in this role? Or have I missed it amongst the years?
Since “Mayerling” isn’t a “starter” ballet for kids; I’m, like many, catching up on some Macmillan pieces: All of which are undeniably human & genius for it.
Ed & Mara = absolutely genius (as ever: the strongest foundation for which all Rudolf’s aspire.)
Steven & Sarah = salaciously daring, new & exciting.
I would love to see Marianela dance this (Mary) given her time in the company, that (+) her life experiences…plus, OH, how she moved me years ago in titular role of Manon: livestreamed around the world. In theaters.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Super. Thank you.
Gives me goosebumps
Qué maravilla poder ver esto; gracias Royal Opera House por compartir tantos vídeos maravillosos. Recuerdo la excelente Gamzatti de Osipova con Núñez, ¡qué grandes artistas las dos!
2outstanding dancers and interpreaters
This is so beautiful!
Goosebumps...
Yes, more Ryoichi!
Que maravilla ver este nivel de danza y con mi bailarina favorita..... la amo es SPECTACULAR ❤️.... 👋🇨🇱
Beautiful! Proud to be Japanese.
