Women will never be able to compete with men in sports, unless we’re talking about chess. Even the 200th ranked man in swimming, holds a women’s title. He was winning by five seconds, normally records and races are won by 10ths of a second.
In chess there's a significant difference too.

Men are paid more in most sports because they sell more tickets.
For example, if you have two teams, team A earns you a billion dollars a year while team B makes you lose a million dollars a year, should they be paid the same?
Cuz thats the situation in the NBA and WNBA,
the men makes billions per year while the women lose millions per year, they have to ask for the men's earnings to have a salary but they still want to be paid the same as the men

The reason why wnba doesn’t get get paid nearly the same is because the league as a whole loses $10 million a year no profit ever
It's also heavily subsidised bY the NBA, without the millions of $$$ ploughed in each and every year by the men, the WNBA wouldn't exist. Here's an idea, why don't all the 'feminists' go attend WNBA matches regularly, thus boosting the gate receipts and allowing teams to pay their players more...oh wait, that's because the NBA is much more entertaining to watch...

What most people don't realize is that there ISN'T men's and women's sports. There is an open class where anyone can compete and then there is a women's only class. I don't see many women competing in the open class. It's a huge mystery.

A badminton athlete from Indonesia, Taufik Hidayat, used to play against 6 female athletes at once for training during a tournament and still won.
The story was told by one of the female athletes that she'd train against Taufik in a 6on1 match during a tournament.
I have no clue what they say trough the whole video.

I just wanna say on the point that equal pay should be proportionate on what they earn, meaning the sales of tickets and merchandize. women in the WNBA whine about equal pay when there is no ticket sales, I mean think about this example: two vendors withe same merchendize the one just sit and did not sale as much the other guy who attracts costumer by doing what the costumer want. should they be having the same amount of profit?
What is not mentioned most often is the fact that men are wired for competition an taking risk. Whoever understand psychology in the sport, know exactly how big advantage this is.
Sometimes, modern men have to remind modern women that the LION and the LIONESS are different for a reason.

I think what is forgotten in this whole discussion about pay in sports is that athletes, whether they be men, women, or non binary, are not in the sports business. They are in the entertainment business. They are paid based on how many tickets and merchandise are sold. You can be the greatest athlete in the world but if no one shows up or tunes in to watch you perform, then you aren't going to be worth paying money. Unless the WNBA, women's soccer, and the rest start selling out games, and build tv/merchandising contracts, they won't be paid as much as the sports/athletes who do sell. In this case, that happens to be men's sport.

Ladies' women being paid just as much as men in sports is not a gender issue. Sports are a business how men get paid and or paid more so than women is based on things like tickets, pay per view etc.... What I am saying people on average do not watch women's sports as they watch male sports.

Men are paid more not because they are stronger or play better. It's because they generate more views. Men's sports have more audience and hence they should be paid more. This is also why women earn more in the fashion industry...
Tactileskill based sports are the only sport where there will be some sort of level play. So, for example, car racing, chess, target shooting, and maybe even downhill sports like snowboarding or skiing.

Your pay is never based on your skill. It’s based on revenue. Chess players are very skilled but the revenue isn’t there so they get paid nickels and often quit cause they can’t maintain a good enough pay to be able to live off.

This is the problem with the gender pay gap. It looks purely at the numbers and doesn’t take into account the different strengths and weaknesses. Men usually work more hours than women which results in a higher compensation.
Although i get the jist i do find this fairly unfair due to the fact men are better when it comes to masculine and physical torturing tasks. men will always be better at building, adapting, surviving, catching food. Might be a different case if i was told 3 of the females were body builders or lightweight champions but they dont look like they are. It was obvious men would win from the start.(the men also do look fairly fit or atleast most of them compared to the females who dont have any significant muscle growth.)
now compare men cooking vs female cooking(bad example im not sexist but im picking someone there fairly good and generalised at, yes something they are stereotyped at but they are stereotyped for a reason because they are literally good at cooking.) BUT in all odds females are statistically more likely to win that.
