I was actually going to audition to be on the petite cycle but couldn't get off work for it. After hearing everything the girls have told Oliver Twixt, I am so glad I didn't get to go.

I think the "personalities" shoot in cycle 8 had a good idea (had they actually done it like the Tyra photo page that they showed) but instead they just made it cheap, and poorly done. They should've just had the girls do different faces/poses and choose the best shots there and lay them out like they did in the Tyra shoot. Asking them to pick 4 personalities (which accidentally end up all looking the same), the poor photography, poor editing with the ugly graphics and fonts, it just ruined the shoot.

Every Cycle 7, 8 and 17 photoshoots were actually a fail except for the matadors and men/women's magazine shoots. I would also like to include the Wonderbra ad from Cycle 1, the Quench ad from Cycle 2, the Tyra Awards from Cycle 11, Playground Games from Cycle 12, Anti-Bullying campaign from Cycle 15, Fallen Angels from Cycle 15, Portraying children with the KarJenners from Cycle 18, that one Cycle 19 shoot appropriating Jamaican Culture, the "Animorphs" photoshoot from Cycle 20, and the Luxe Life with Jason Derulo from Cycle 23.
Nah Wonderbra from Cycle 1 was pretty okay, a standard lingerie shoot for the time, but none of the girls really turned it out. Elyse's look was pretty European and editorial but the shot was awkward. Fallen Angels from Cycle 15 was executed brilliantly from some of the contestants, like Ann and Kayla. In general, Cycle 15 and 16 did have some of the most high-end and editorial shoots like the Italian Statues, Alice in Wonderland, Landfill Couture, Moroccan wedding, etc. Cycle 10 as well. But Cycles 7,8 and 17 especially were incredibly gimmicky and tacky in the shoot concepts.
So are we ever gonna talk about cycle 24 and the pregnancy shoot when they wore the fake bellies? And the one girl broke down cause of a miscarriage due to abuse? Edit: I thought it was season 23 it was 24
It's no secret that Tyra and Janice Dickinson did not get along behind the scenes. Despite your guys' opinion on Janice, she still a legendary model and I would not be surprised if she thinks many of those photo shoots were ridiculous and an embarrassment to the fashion industry.
Just like most reality based shows, the first few seasons are quality and then it becomes all about the drama. I can’t believe I watched as many seasons/cycles as I did because looking back, there were so many issues even early on. It’s one thing to get a model to expand their mind and try shoots they may not have tried but it’s another to force models into terrible situations they had valid reasons to be uncomfortable in. I’m glad we are getting away from the ‘item’ model view where the model is just an accessory to be manipulated.

I actually liked some of these shoots. I loved the Got Milk? Shoot and the Zodiac Signs. What about the photoshoot where they had to portray dead ppl. They did ppl who overdosed, ppl who drowned in the bathtub, etc. That should be here. The treadmill shoot made zero sense so did the wind tunnel. How did they expect those girls to get a good picture that way. What about the water nymphs photoshoot. I thought that was a fail. Yes the photos were beautiful but everyone forgot Caridee almost died of hypothermia.
Clearly the politics photoshoot was to try and create some drama between the contestants. They were hoping that one of the contestants would give a controversial and unpopular opinion for the political movement they were posing as, so they could try and stir the pot to get other contestants who disagreed to start arguing over said political stance. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the contestants lied about their opinions because they were afraid of getting eliminated for giving an answer that wouldn't fly with the judging panel. It also wasn't cool that Kathleen was made fun of just because she didn't know about the anti-fur movement. There was nothing wrong with not knowing about certain political movements or just being apolitical overall. They clearly were there for a modeling competition and shouldn't have been put in that position.
What the H?! Who ever came up with these beyond stupid ideas should not be in this occupation at all. Also… With people starving in the world, you think ruining food as a fashion statement is a good idea? Fashion should go in the opposite direction.
Looking back, this show was extremely cheap and not professional at all. At _lots_ of the makeovers, ANTM did these lovely ladies so dirty. Allisons hair is *CORN YELLOW* not blonde. And patchy.
Through the years, we have realized that almost every photoshoot in ANTM was so over the top (extreme make up, stupid styling, bad make overs among other things), wich is not the reality of the modeling world nowaday nor was necessarily back then. And it was not necessarily a modeling competition either, it was more about creating drama using the girl's stories. However, there were some fantastic models, but if the judges didn't like or care them, they just gave them the "boring editing" and sent them home with stupid random excuses like "u have no personality" (C11's Lauren Brie, for example). And let's not even talk about the fact that the best photo of each contestant was not necessarily chosen, only the one that suited the production. Yes, ANTM was fake as hell.
The seven deadly sins shoot could have been cool but many of the girls had terrible styling. Like Keenyah, Michelle and Tatiyana. They looked terrible. And the photos production chose were awful too. I think sometimes they styled these girls terrible on purpose and then chose their worst photo.
I agree with most, but a couple points: The celebrity one every photo had at least one good impression. Makeup CariDee also broke the rules of the wind tunnel.
I this the worst show on TV. You haven't taught the girls anything other than how to be disrespectful and inappropriate. A waste of everyone's time including the viewers!

The seven deadly sins shoot could have been cool but many of the girls had terrible styling. Like Keenyah, Michelle and Tatiyana. They looked terrible. And the photos production chose were awful too. I think sometimes they styled these girls terrible on purpose and then chose their worst photo.

I agree with most, but a couple points:
The celebrity one every photo had at least one good impression.
Makeup CariDee also broke the rules of the wind tunnel.
Also the Hawaiian one wasn’t as much of an outcry than the GotMilk one.
