As someone who is a medical professional and had her pens stolen straight from the cup literally overnight, this made me laugh more than I expected
Knowing that a standard Macaron backpack will fit me is actually great to know, thank you! I could never tell with just the measurements, so having Miriam’s 5’ 2” is a helpful reference when I can’t find a place to actually try it myself lol.

Nurse and graduate student here 🙋🏼♀️ my cat domestic shorthair lihit lab pencil case is a hit at work! My coworkers are always complementing how cute it is! As an inpatient nurse, I also highly recommend a multipen ( I use the uni Jetstream). I know Miriam mentioned a planner for business graduates but for a graduate student they’re a must! The hobonichi weeks is a lifesaver for balancing work, assignments, clinicals, appointments, and my personal life. Do you carry a trifold clipboard? That would also be an amazing gift for any new healthcare professional 😊

EMILY thanks for recommending the letter sets. It really is a special feeling to get physical mail. It reminds me of childhood when my cousins and I would send each other little letters about monthly. I grew up very biased toward Japanese writing tools, but I'm also a huge fan of the Kaweco (in a broad nib!). Also definitely recommend their own branded cartridges because they come in a lot of pretty good colors and are easy to manage for beginners, upward. CONNIE, those medical school recommendations are great, and I thought of a million reasons my retired self could use those items, especially for writing on many surfaces. MIRIAM, totally agree with your backpack recommendation. There was a time when I traveled in my job, and I ran through so many experiments before realizing that my "personal item" should always be a backpack. For anyone not paying attention, your personal item should always be a backpack! Great video as always. Love y'all.

100% agree on the physical planner helping you remember your commitments better. The act of writing something down has something to do with reinforcing neural pathways! I love all your videos.
The packing pouch is the best. I have at least ten in same color. I can see what’s in the pouch without opening it. Mostly washi tapes! They have a folder size that I use to display my Pens and Pencils. Again I can admire them through the clear part. Keeps them from getting dusty and I can find what I’m looking for. Fits great in a back pack

I've long since graduated, but I got slammed with a ton of meetings this months and probably into next month as well. I'm in training for a new change happening with my position, so that happens for an hour most days of the week now, but then I have meetings and coaching sessions with my supervisor. We use Microsoft Teams/Outlook for scheduling but I often forget what I have going for the day. I think I have become a busy person and might need a planner 😂.
Even after the training dies down, I still find it hard to remember the meetings and coaching sessions, often times not remembering until Outlook dings me a reminder ten minutes before the event starts 😅. I may remember things better if I indeed write stuff down. If the monthly planner featured here isn't set to a specific year, I might get one. It's already May, so I wouldn't want one specifically designed for 2024, I can just pencil in my own dates :) I do seem to remember that you guys have non-specific planners so I'll hunt those down 😊
Also, I'm not a medical student but everything Connie showed during that section just made me bob my head 😂. My mom is a nurse, though...she'd probably love that pen that allows for adding a lanyard and perhaps the clipboard, too.

my dad got me a pilot vanishing point for graduation. i use it every day at work now and have for years. it's perfect for my job because i need to write in many short bursts, and it's less hassle than a fountain pen with a cap to start writing each time.

For any current and future engineers, the pilot Frixion pens are a god-send for drawing markups!
Each presenter made suggestions that resonate with me. The bookstand really hits the mark about right now. The clipboard also has my interest. Maybe the backpack, too. I look at worklife from the viewpoint of someone who is near retirement, but not quite there yet. I'm counting down the days. We never stop learning, whatever our ages are. So that book stand is mighty interesting....hmmmm.....
Graduated quite some time ago, but I was just thinking about replacing my aging work backpack and the Doughnut Macaroon looks perfect. I'm 5'5 and prefer a backpack that is on the smaller side by US standards so I think the Standard size will be just right for me.
For new grads I can't recommend horizontal notebooks like the Delfonics Rollbahn Horizontal Spiral highly enough. They are indispensable when you work with a computer all day but still need to take or refer to paper notes.

I'd definitely get the humanities bundle, that book stand would be really helpful because when I really need to plan things out I use physical notes over digital ones (mostly because I wanna use the cool stationery I own instead of hoarding it

I usually use digital everything just because it was easy to remember stuff in college that way (one tablet is easier than 5 notebooks), but I really want to get some desk organization and journaling items now that I have time regularly!

I am with you Luke! I have dedicated wish lists, but I ultimately treat my cart as the main wishing well. The in the cart out the cart game happens almost weekly until I rule out somethings I didn't actually want personally, just liked the idea of the product. This method hasn't failed me yet!
OK, Miriam. Let's come up with a video on what to give a high school junior an end of school year gift. Here's the situation: my older son has already done six AP classes, so next year he will be concentrating on applying to colleges. What supplie should I gift him? (BTW, I raised him well. He loves JetPens.) My younger son is going into seventh grade. His backpack is a bear. His school supply list for last year included things he's never had to use, which added to the weight of his bag. Plus he has to carry a Chrome Book. What should I buy from JetPens for him for next year? And what should an incoming high school student get for finishing middle school? You can't imagine how great a good backpack is, but a slingbag works best for me for smaller objects so surprised it wasn't an option

I love letter sets, but why do 90% of letter sets (Iconic Haru Letter Sets are good examples) look like they are designed for children and teenagers? It is so difficult to find lettersets that are stylish and elegant. Please help, Jetpens.
