We've all been there. On the verge of giving up. After so many knockdowns from a project, the climber just wants to walk away.
The worth of a good belayer is often undervalued. Far from just holding the rope, a truly good belayer plays the role of coach, motivator and therapist to give the climber every chance of success.
Although he's climbed routes of a higher grade, this was one of Matt's proudest sends and one he'll remember for a long time.
