I can admit I was a little late on the TDE train. But I am SOOOO HAPPY that I found them when I did because I was starting to think that most of the rap that is out is garbage. They are a breath of fresh air. It's better music than most the crap out right now. Why aren't you happy that they'll make all these corny rappers extinct? But don't even think for a second Q and Jay is only party/trap music. That is the vibe on most of their songs, but they are more meaningful than that. Q is a story teller, like in My Homie, and My Hatin Joint, and can be deep, like in Sacrilegious and Blessed. Jay is the same way with meaning like in Life's A Gamble and My People. It's also vice versa with Soulo & Kendrick, like in Track Two, Swimming Pools, etc. That's what's so awesome about Black Hippy, Every member can do whatever, whenever.

Yes It's been recently that I've started listening to Kendrick Lamar and I'm not going to say I've been a fan since he started but I do agree he is truly talented and is glad as fuck that his music is addicting and pure talent. Way better then the garbage songs that Lil wayne, Gucci Mane, etc "artist" been putting out. Good music is hard to find now.
