  • This video is about my experience and advice with getting bullied! This is a very special video because I am actually responding to a comment that I got. I hope you guys enjoy this video, and don't forget to be kind to everyone you encounter because you never know what they are going through. Everyone is human regardless of any of the little traits that distinguish them and we all deserve to be recognized. Remember to like, subscribe, and comment and I'll see you very soon💗Shreya

When I was in 9th grade, I got called "stupid girl " by two boys in a computer class because my teacher told me to point out how to do certain tasks on the computer in front of the class and I felt lost (this was before I had hearing aids) and it was embarrassing. Every day I would go into class, the two boys would say " hey stupid girl" or "bye stupid girl" and I remember my dad took me into the school and we got the boys suspended. I have hearing aids now and I'm 25 I still struggle but I'm a lot stronger as a person.

Dont worry about them. Just ignore them. They are stupid. They used to bully me in high school and I didn’t care what they think of me.

Hi Shreya,I got bullied when I was at school because I grew up on a farm,I was called a smelly farm boy, then I had a lazy eye and had to wear an eye patch over my good eye,so I was almost blind and needed a white cane for 18mths,then a few years on I got hearing aids, the body worn ones with the cords and receiver in the ears,so I got called all sort of names! I felt so lonely,it's harder for you as you have long hair, nobody can see your hearing aids or know you are deaf, true friends stick by you,I had one person a few years later who lost their hearing came up to me and said sorry for bullying me,now they going through the same thing, because of degenerating discs I have to wear a catheter, you think people are staring, has my urine bag leaked, you have a wise head on young shoulders,a person would be honoured to be your friend, you are so beautiful and bubbly..thank you ...

It's a good life thank you for taking the time to reply, you are right it's not ok to bully or be bullied because you are "different" in some people it makes them stronger and in others it breaks you,the one good thing about being hearing impaired is if you were being insulted behind your back you would not hear them, the hardest part being a hard of hearing male is when you look at a woman to lip read,if they don't know your deaf it can come across as your staring which is a bit creepy! Your video's give an insight to what it's like in the 21st century being deaf at school and all these years on people still make fun of disabled people! I find it interesting when you talk about what hearing aids you use and your journey to this point, you help people more than you will ever know, you tube can be helpful!!
