    i need some serious help, there are several different issues i believe. Starting from the beginning, 1994 chevy 350 5.7 . Computer operated ignition i think, throttle body, changed the intake manifold to holley pro jection intake, bored out throttle body, added throttle body spacer so that the egr valve could fit. Timing at idle is @ 12 but once i give it gas the timing retards insteads of advances, computer related?? if so how can i reprogram? can i? all answers welcome

    Yeah my engine likes to idle at 500rpm when hot chevy small block. So i think i should advance it then right?

    Why would you want the spark to happen before tdc wouldn’t you want it at exact tdc and wouldn’t retarding the timing cause knock??? Bc your waiting longer to spark ?

    dumb question* how can you distinguish electronic ignition from mechanical?- just by looking?

    • @hueroski
      @hueroski Před 5 lety

      mechanical is part of the distributor that adds tiing as rpm increases
