When using mod podge, put it on and let it dry. After it dries, put your paper on it, cover it with parchment paper and iron it. Comes out perfect and no wrinkles.
That’s way too much to me. Use a glue stick, it dries immediately then mod podge over it. 😁

With modge podge you can put Saran wrap on the piece and roll out or use parchment paper and a iron.

Make sure your brush that you're going to use for the mod podge is wet already you can pre-wet your wood piece and then dip in your mod podge also if you feel like it's drying too fast you can add a little bit of water at a time and shake it up and send it back out a little bit I just tried the Saran wrap last night and it worked perfect I didn't even need my little rolling pin
Use a rolling pin over saran wrap on your project as another you tube Amber uses every time and no wrinkles with Mod Podge. Or Cindy from Monarch Mom uses spritz lightly with water on your paper you want to apply on your generous mod podge project. Tap and spread lightly with your fingers. If you go to heavy on mod podge it will come out from underneath but wipe away excess. Thanks for the.pretty calendar inspiration. I haven't used any yet from the box.

Try using the Elmer’s glue that is purple you won’t have bubbles I don’t like modge podge

Iron the mod podge after you put on mod podge let it dry. Then put on art work, calendar etc on over top of mod podge lay parchment paper or thin cloth over and iron it
I see a lot of crafters taking the backs of family signs of so not to break that thinner wood

The cheap calendar papers are prone to wrinkling, especially with wet glue like ModPodge.
Cute diys. Sadly, my area never gets those calendars. DT should sell them in smaller quantities online, who needs a case of 48.
I totally agree with you! I wasn't about to order 48 of them for myself 😅 had to go in on a case with other people or happen upon them in stores!

Second question… Does the glue stick really hold up well?? For longevity or is it just for Camera purposes only? I am hating the Marge podge!!

I watch the monarch mom diy and when she is using mod podge with paper she sprites water on the paper before she puts it down to help prevent wrinkles.

I live everything truck and that is my favourite. I bought a face roller brush from the DT and it works great for getting wrinkles and air pockets out of modpodge!! I couldn’t find a proper Breyer so this was the next best thing!!

I looked at one of those last night but didn't know if it would work since it didn't look like it had a flat edge...glad to know if works! I was looking for one of those silicone make up things people use to hold down items they are hot gluing.
@@MSBLS721 the little miniature silicon baking utensils work just as good as the makeup ones that DT sells... They're also a lot easier to find... lol
@@tamipierce5916 I have both the makeup thingy, and the silicone spatula...the smallest dt has works best to me...my hot glue gun is especially hot, and as I have neuropathy in my hands and feet, I can't feel much, but I can feel the heat thru the makeup thingy...lol.. so I use the spatula most...esp when using a larger amount of glue...

These all look very nice. I love the truck wall hanging and the pumpkin with pumpkins on it. To smooth your mod Podge you need to place a piece of Saran Wrap over it and smooth with your hand or you can use a rolling pin. Thanks

They all were great! I think one of the problems with the modpoge is you are putting to thin of a coat on it, thats why its drying so fast, then I dont have a roller either, I use my wooden ruler or one of the jumbo craft sticks to flatten it out. Also if its something of good size lay it on what ever your going to put it on and do half and wipe down then do the other half.

Hey Megan, all of these came out so cute!!! On the Family sign, if you don’t want to Mod Podge the corners caus you can’t get the glue stick in there, just use the glue stick on the back of the paper instead of the surface you are applying it to, that way you don’t have to fuss with Mod Pdge! Hope that helps.

I found A cute calendar with flowers and Bible verses, and another one with bold writing that has Bible verses, so I bought one of each for each of my friends that I craft with. Did not find any that you and other crafters have found.
I hope you end up finding these ones too!! They arrived kind of late to my DT stores actually.

These are lovely, so sad I can't get these dollar tree calendars (or anything dollar tree for that matter) in the UK. The only way is to buy a case of 48!!!! and use a parcel shipping service (which gives you a US postcode for dollar tree to ship to). It makes it so expensive, and I can't seem to find an alternative. It makes watching this a little frustrating as I so would love to try these. Its a pity but at least I can vicariously enjoy them through you. I love all these projects and you have a great eye!
girl save your money and go into your kitchen and get your biscuits roller and use wax paper to get the wrinkles out
