First time I've seen your videos and being a woman over 60 who has loved hair, skincare and makeup my entire life and have watched oodles of videos during our enforced "shelter in place" year which is continuing into 2021... I can see you were blessed with many, many natural features. You have thick, healthy luxurious hair. You have a beautiful face with a low hairline, full brows, tiny nose, full lips and unlined skin. No sagging or bagging. You can't lose to begin with. Anyone who has all of that can do anything and look great. Let's be real. Having said that...your tutorial is very nice.

Being a pro mua I am loving the fact that you educate people on not needing big blown out looks. I see it all the time at my store (Shoppers Drug Mart) being a cosmetician. They want all the Tic Tock looks and it just doesn't fit our demographic! I'm 54 and I love your videos!

I can see the foundation changing as you ended the video it started to settle and look even more smooth...wow. I may need to try that little $8.99 magic in a bottle. I’m still loving my makeup brushes. I have literally thrown all of my old brushes away and I only use the ones I purchased from you. They are super soft and they really get the job done.

I finally bought this eyeshadow, there is no fall out after application. I used to spend so much time cleaning up what fell off the brush, I love this product.
Almost 69 and all these years I’ve been doing everything backwards. Always did foundation first then eyes. This is so much easier. Love your channel.

I purchased the brushes & just love them. The pink case is not only pretty but very functional. I have all my brushes right where I use them.
You've got to stop watching the video and start applying. Even if you practice with cheap makeup. It's the only way you will learn. By actually doing it. I've been doing my brows and lips for years so I can do them without looking too closely in the mirror. I need more practice on the foundations and eyeshadow though.

I absolutely loved watching you apply the black to the outer v. I was surprised that you first didn't use a transition color yet it went so smoothly and precise while still being soft and maintaining it's pigment. I used to adore the nicer brands large palettes but I completely related when you spoke about them not being practical for every day women such as myself. I just end up overwhelmed and uninspired! Thank you for such a great video that truly speaks to women of my age group 49 as well as others. It's been frustrating as I love makeup but I cannot relate to a 20 something when she recommends a product because she's working with a canvas I no longer have not to mention most of them have 35 steps and 7 layers with enough highlighter that all you'd see is my wrinkles coming 5 blocks ahead of me if I even tried to do it that way.

I love the education you give while demonstrating, thank you! I use my blow dryer on my eyelash curler which helps the curl/uplift.
Make sure you don’t get the metal too hot there are plenty of stories of how women have burned their lashes off or caused a real issue for their eyes doing it this way.

Hello Nikol! I wanted to thank you for turning us all on to the Joah foundation. I've only been using a BB cream with SPF for a long time. Now, having to teach my courses online, I was seeing the need for a bit more evenness to be achieved but so hesitant since I'm not much of a foundation gal. Found a good assortment (minus one color that may have been best) and purchased 2 that I felt would mix to what I needed. What a SCORE! I was right on and have enjoyed the ease and need for so little product for the coverage I prefer. Your energy, frankness and SPARKLE are infectious. Grazie!

Im a makeup artist and finding an eyelash curler that works the way I want it to has been a holy grail.
I bought the heated eyelash curler, and it is fabulous. It gives my straight lashes lift as well as curl, and the curl lasts all day. Highly recommend! I got one for my sister, another straight-lash girl, as a birthday gift, that’s how wonderful I think it is.

I found that on my white…almost clear eye lashes, mascara primer is a must! I really like your less -choices approach is really best! This shadow application technique works well with any color eye shadow!

@@NikolJohnson how do I get. Your foundation. I need color I always go a little darker as I am very pale. Use to do makeup. A cosmetologist and hair. I put a little foundation on my clean hand and really as needed instead of one time. It does not look like make is on then and also have a light hand touch being a hair stylist in the 60's. I have a blessed young face with good cheek bones from my mom. Looking for a good coverage cream not powder used IT products but can't find it now. Also I would like to purchase your brushes help.
