All Gemini cards should be errataed to count as normal monsters in the deck and hand too. They still wouldn't be any good, but they'd at least work with cards like Unexpected Dai.

I think even konami forgot that they dont work that way when they made red-eyes fusion since the first fusion we got for it was made out of 2 geminis....yet you can not use geminis from deck to make it... so it would be a worse poly by turn 3/5... insanity that they put a lock on it for 2 vanilla fusions and a battle based one...
I say that all the time, but ngl Unexpected Dai and Painful Decision are the only 2 cards that would make this worthwhile, its better to just print Unexpected Knight Dai Grepher instead or something

Unironically removing the attack gain from the mannadium field spell would be a huge buff, or just make all of the mannadium balls say "Original attack of 1500/2100"
It’s funny how the vampire field spell doesn’t have this problem because it’s only during the damage step.
Funny story, I had to negate my own Calarium with cross-out one time because of that effect.

As someone who plays VS if the S force cards were good they would be tear 0 no one ever plays around columns I would be a rich man if I had a nickel for every opponent that played into the Razen column
@@DrAiPatch right?! Blocking access to Promethean Princess with Edge Razor is surprisingly a thing.
You could fix most of the archetype with just minor tweaks to most of the monsters as well. Watch.
Orrafist: "Negate that effect, and if you do, destroy that monster."
Edge Razor: Remove "of a Link-3 or higher monster."
Dog Tag: Remove "During your main phase."
Justify: "Neither player can summon/set [...]"
Nightchaser: Attacks or effects.
These are just the minor tweaks, the rest of the archetype are either already fine for what the deck wants to do or need a complete rethinking (Digamma rocking around like the dude's a GX monster or something)
Legit made an S-Force list for funsies, they almost had something really cool but man why does the link 1 only summon from banishment.
@@Zetact_ that does solve the power ceiling of the deck, but it doesn't solve the consistency of it. That's the biggest problem in my opinion.
It's at least a two card combo dependent deck that runs multiple garnets, all with one starter that loses to ash/imperm/veiler. Even the Link-1 requires setup.
Even an arguably bad card like Small Scuffle makes a huge difference in how things turn out, just because it's extra access to Rappa and Retroactive (always choose Chiyomaru, you don't want to give level 1 access in the fire king snake eyes format).
I 100% agree about just removing missing timing as a rule entirely. Literally nothing in the meta shifts and the game is just overall better and less complicated.
It would make some sick and cool cards no longer unusable, like Black Rose Dragon, Trishula Dragon of the Ice Barrier and Hot Red Dragon Archfiend King Calamity

This is literally the worst thing in Yugioh rulings.
ra's life point sink being only on summon is so bad, and it literally conflicts with the pay 1000 effect that becomes unusable. just removing "when normal summoned" from the text would make it quite a bit better
Ra has always been bafflingly bad. It came out *after* Obelisk but it somehow felt like it was released 5 years earlier.
Obelisk was a pretty faithful recreation of what we saw in the show, obviously minus the "it's god so it beats everything automatically" clauses, with a reasonably strong protection effect, the self destruct on special summon clause and its famous big bombastic field nuke. It had new Takahashi art and it wasn't blue, but otherwise sure, that's believably the card Kaiba had.
Ra drops, and it's missing the protection, missing the famous Maju Garzett effect, flat out won't let you SS it even temporarily, its LP sink is wonky as hell and irreversible, and its only upside other than being a big beater is that targeted destruction effect that I personally don't remember anyone ever using.
Literally the only possible thing I can think of is that maybe they didn't give it protection because it would be redundant with Mound of the Bound Creator. The rest, I don't have a clue about. Bizarre decision making and every single piece of Ra support since has been an apology for a different part of the effect that it should have had. Glad they did Slifer properly, imagine if the 2000 ATK drain on that card was a separate continuous spell called something like "Second Mouth Suppression".
Marik always used Ra like this. Or I might be misremembering,because he didn't use Ra's destruction effect that often,but I'm pretty sure the LP sink effect was better in the anime because he could revert it as a quick effect

No. Perfume is balanced around being unsearchable(but please Konami we need a Lunalight spell that doesn't suck ass)
The Vendread field thing I felt from my soul. I’m a big Libromancer guy and I feel them gaining effects if made with monsters on the field is pretty fine but Libromancers also all have a way to special summon themself. Revenants NEEDS to be your normal summon. Ick.
Imagine if all the witchcrafter spells can still come back to hand even when it uses the effect...

@@AllineVayn they are added during the end phase, so it's not really that big of a deal. Alternatively they could add back during your opponents end phase as well as your own with the "once per turn and only once that turn" clause. It would give insane follow-up and still allow you to buff the cards.

Just lock to 'monsters that mention Red-Eyes' is enough.
Would love a 'Red-Eyes' link 1 (not Darkness Metal the Dragon of Dark Steel).
Also "Fusion Summon 1 DRAGON Fusion Monster" because Dragoon is toxic.

Predaplant Verte Anaconda should be erratad to only summon Predaplant or Starving Venom fusion monsters
Na, just needing Predaplants as materials would be enough.
I think it would still be a very strong extra deck monster as its first effect guarantees you can summon starving venom with super poly.
But then I can't summon Starving Venemy Dragon from the manga!

Plunder Patroll ships should be allowed to discard any card for the quick effects, not only plunder cards. It wouldn't even be THAT big of a buff, just allow them a little bit of flexibility.
the cards themselves are really not that broken, the only broken part I see is that redbeard and whitebeard solo make the ships, which is a bit strong

Didn't make it into the video but I stand by a Dark Magic Curtain errata that just removes the "You can't summon or set" lock. If I wanna pay half my LP to summon Dark Magician from deck, let me do it unimpeded.

Sure, give it a hard once per turn and I'd say go nuts.
I mean it would be cool to not give it a hard once per turn, but pay half your LP to Special Summon a Level 7 from deck even if it is a Normal Monster seems pretty good for combo starting or extension - especially if it is searchable.
@@BloodfelX I don't think you'd need to put a hard once on it. To trigger it multiple times, you'd have to play multiple copies of DM which is such a hard garnet, only DM pure would play more than 1 copy. DM barely plays 3 copies.
I can't imagine a scenario where DMC enables rank 7 spam decks to do more than they already do and it's only searchable if you commit your normal summon to Magician's Rod. The only deck I can see it benefiting other than DM is Gold Pride by giving them access to the level 10 synchro pool but since Barron got banned, being able to make level 10 generics has lost it's bite.

Summoning Dark Magician literally does nothing to get their resource loop going lol, and they have a billion eyes of summoning dark magician in-engine, and also, magicians souls is literally this card but better in every way, and no one summons dark magician with it because the dark magician you send to summon is always live for eternal souls. Eye of Timaeus getting a bonus effect that mentions Dark Magician would be a thousand times better for the Deck than
Take out the pendulum monster requirement for materials in Odd-Eyes Ritual. Also, change the "can use extra deck monsters as material if your opponent controls two or more monsters and you control none" to just that but "if you control no monsters" for both Odd-Eyes Fusion and Odd-Eyes Ritual.
Also, that deck needs spell/trap searches if it wants to be played outside of the PP(pendulum pile).
All the Ashend that say "If "Obsidim, the Ashened City" is in the Field Zone, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand).", add gy or banishment.
There are 2 for Shiranui spectral sword. First is that it’s grave effect can’t be activated the turn it’s sent to the grave, and the other is that the grave effect isn’t considered a synchro summon.

1. Rainbow Dragon.
Did you know that if you have MORE than 7 differently named Crystal Beasts on field or in grave you can't summon Rainbow Dragon? Thank you Konami.
2. Yang Zings
Just errata the entire archetype to say if instead of when, like, FUCK.
Rainbow dragon is useless as a boss monster, they just need new ultimate crystal monster like imagine a rainbow griffin

So I had a big one to make Infernobles work with the original Arthurian Noble Knights and it was a line that "While equipped, this card's name counts as a Noble Arms" but let's not joke the biggest most absurd one for Noble Knights is still LADY OF THE LAKE. I have a whole word document on errataing NK cards but Lady of the Lake is by far the most egregious "Bad card"

Reason: Lady of the Lake is an unsearchable out of archetype monster with ridiculous limitations for how weak its effect is, summoning exactly Artorigus and nothing else. This way it works as a revival card, which it shouldn’t be banished for because Junk Synchron didn’t do that. Its banish effect has been standardized to the Jet Synchron style of “Banish on leaving the field” instead of “Banished when used for a Synchro period.”
I remember reading it back when XYZ Noble Knights came out in Duel Links and wondering why I would want to waste a normal that needs setup just to make Wayne,which requires even more setup to even do anything(like going into the rank 5 Artorigus)
If she was searchable it would be pretty neat,the setup issue would be addressed by the fact you can search her in the middle of your line for follow-up or extension
@@stardust9470 Lady of the Lake is one of those cards that when she was released everyone who played the deck looked at her and just went "...There is no point to this card." It was somehow bad on release. Why does it banish itself on Synchro, at the time we have High Laund and Wayne as level 5's (and no level 9 Warriors), It's an aqua, it has one target for its Only On Normal effect, it has like 4 targets for its grave effect. This wave of NK support just like "Oh you guys have no idea what you want this deck to do."
Let Amazoness Augusta also protect itself from destruction by card effects
For Exosister: make Martha only Exo lock you for _the rest of the turn_ and not the entire turn retroactively. I'd like to be able to experiment with some other rank 4 engines that aren't exactly Aratama-Sakitama.
Also, make Magnifica count as a Rank-Up and inherit the materials attached to its materials.
(and even further beyond: make Magnifica inherit the detach effects of attached Exo XYZ. Let me search _two_ backrow if I make Mikaelis into Magnifica)
Remove Special Summoning "Gate Guardian" from the Deck as a possibility on "Gate Guardians Combined" so it can't be Ash'd. Remove the word "monster" on "Eye of Timaeus", making it searchable for Dark Magician.

Ritual-Beast Ulti-Apelio just being unaffected by only your opponents card would be good. I guess for 2014-2015, Konami thought it was just too good if a monster could keep attack buffs + be safe when attacking.
Once per duel steal your opponent's wallet? Carrying two wallets about to be meta.
Make libromancer field spell not once per turn to activate. Keep the once per turn search, sure, but if your field spell gets blown up you just got hardly nothing to do until next turn even if you have ways to het another field spell.
To this day, i hate how vampire ghost's first effect only triggers on normal summon
I wish subterrors had something like "If you control no face-up monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in Defense Position then immediately flip it face down. Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position."
@@Solus_Fenryr did you know the behemoths are all when effects, so if you flip your monsters face-down with eg. Fiendess negate, guru flip face down when it is being used as a quick effect, Final Battle flip face down (since the last thing to happen when you use Final Battle is the "then set this card") said Behemoths miss f-ing timing. And on all the best cards for interactions. It is so dog shit it makes the Behemoths mostly unplayable.

fusion destiny doesn't need a buff, you can still summon the vast majority of your main deck, and all but one of the XTRA heros,
Literally just save it for the end of your turn and there is no downside.
Edit: jesus christ i can't believe i forgot to add this, Why the hell does favorite contact not count as a FUSION summon, when you have to use FUSION materials, and can only use it to summon FUSION monsters? this distinction's only effect is making it so Wake up doesn't work.
The buff gives heroes the option of using it earlier.
You can imagine how useful that is, right?
The “return to extra deck” clause just needs to be removed from every Neos Fusion, maybe the OG 6, but it should be an optional trigger on triple contact fusions and Cosmo Neos. And the best part about this is that even with this buff those cards wouldn’t be meta or playable.
Its because Favorite Contact intended use is to cheat out the Neos contact fusions, who can't be Fusion Summoned, so that clause just wouldn't make sense.
Needing a buff isn't the same as a QOL change which imo this is.
yes. summoning the majority of your maindeck doesnt do anything. that one xtra hero isnt whats the problem (given you prob dont have a poly in grave to recycle), its all the e hero fusions that help make up your endboard
Buff idea: every card with an optional when effect become optional if effects so they don’t miss timing
The amount of issues brought up that specifically relate to an issue HERO has hurts me so much
For one more i'd say unerrata Disk Commander but give it a HERO lock and it becomes a very powerful draw engine in HERO that's only hampered by how it requires setup. Would make it arguably a 1-of just because HERO loves playing anything that says both "HERO" and "Draw 2" in it (see Liquid's continued play and Cross Keeper's niche playability before deck space got too damn tight)
For those that don't know Krawlers have a trap that changes an opponent's monster effect to "return a Krawler your opponent controls to the hand." Since the links don't trigger when bounced anymore it no long works as intended and since links can't be face down your opponent will always be able to target the link instead of the monsters that would summon 2 from the deck when removed by an opponent's card effect. Makes me sad
The world would be a better place if we could activate the each effect of revolving switchyards once per turn instead only 1 of the effect once per turn.
Errata the punk synchro 11 so that you can use the bounce and the revive in the same turn
Since someone already buffed red eyes fusion in that thread, I’ll just follow up on that with some buffs to the other red eyes fusion monsters that aren’t Dragoon. Give slash dragon targeting protection when it has a card equipped to it, make it so Black skull archfiend just needs any level 6 Archfiend instead of specifically needing a vanilla one for fusion material and give you the choice to either revive a vanilla red eyes from the gy or shuffle after damage calculation, finally give meteor black comet dragon destruction protection and make it so you can special summon any red eyes monster when it’s sent to the graveyard instead of just the OG red eyes. This would give every fusion its own niche and play style while not being so utterly outclassed by dragoon even if it’s still the best.
Noooo! Don’t remove my life point decreasing effect from Myutant mutant. I need that to work in my gold pride PEP turbo deck! Lol. But seriously, I really wish the tribute effect on all the small Myutants was a quick effect. I’m tired of losing to a single imperm or veiler. Makes expansion more playable, too!
6:18 Yeah, for some reason, they removed so much potential by making the summons improper summons.
The god cards should have the part that says the opponent can't activate cards when they are normal summoned with "while you control this normal summoned card your opponent cannot activate cards or effects during your turn." It wouldn't make them meta or anything, but would at least make them somewhat of a threat and would prevent the situation where they basically die before even reaching the battle phase. Also it has a certain flavour, like the opponent has to show reverence and stay put in the presence of a god properly brought forth.

Dominus Purge isn't even out yet but even with the restrictions removed it would still see less play than Ash. They just decided that an ok trap card shouldn't be playable in the only meta trap deck.
Look ocg will have 9 maxx c sooner or later that might crippled deck that play engines, dominus will be a luxury for archetypes that play pure like pure traptrix or pure ritual beast.
An absolutely great designed move by konami japan to release dominus followed by chummies monsters, promote decks to be played exactly as they are meant to be played because now by playing pure you are less vulnerable to the 9 maxx c that youre not going to win.

Here’s a cool one. Make Linkmail Archfiend a link 3. That would make the card so much better.
Make Dimonno Vaalmonica trigger off your LP being ruduced by card cost, not just card effect.
Change dragunity whirlwind to remove "if only your opponent controls monsters" to "if you control no monsters" and the deck becomes rogue immediately. Honestly if branded fusion is fine, it fan just remove the conditions altogether
Fusion destiny was a big problem at some time but now it is not. I always thought fusion destiny should be "You can only summon HERO monsters the turn thish card is used" or something liked that
We should be able to summon Trickstar Aqua Angel by her own effect more than once per duel because Marincess needs a good card that doesn't have some awkward restriction.
That matters little for Marincess. You have so much recursion through Pascalus, Triangle and Coral Anemone that T3 you should have a starter in hand.
My change would be to Magikey Deity - Ashtartu. I feel like they unnecessarily nerfed this card because you can create it generically, but it should be able to quick effect banish based on the attributes in the graveyard and not just magikey or normal monster attributes. Every other boss works this way in magikey, but I guess since creating this is generic they wanted to add some sort of magikey restriction that hurts the deck and makes it not worth making. Also if it could use the attributes of the material attached to it would be better because I cant activate against fire without detaching transfurlmine which I used to make it and I can't detach with the first effect unless I attack with it first which is too slow.

Imo, the 1 card that always comes to my mind when people talk about an errata is triamid pulse.
Like, the deck has such good synergy, all the cards work well with each other...
Then theres the triamid continuous trap, triamid pulse, which just decides to banish the triamids in grave as cost... In a deck with 0 interaction with its own banish pile.
If triamid pulse cost was just "you can shuffle 2 rock type monsters or/and field spell cards in your gy back to deck" it would synergyze so much with the deck by shuffling its field spells back to deck, so the lower monsters can get them on the field when necessary.
I would love it if Zakiel’s terrible tribute summon effect were changed to “if you control a magical musket monster, you can special summon this card from your hand.” It’s insane to me that the ostensible main deck boss of a deck that’s already so normal summon dependent has no innate way of getting itself out.
My favourite kind of retrain, the kind where we invoke our Necrovalley mandate and say "This is how this card actually works - its better now."

My biggest request is for all the ursarctic extra deck monsters is the clause "this special summon is treated as a synchro summon"
God it would be SO nice to be able to special summon the extra deck monsters with slider, or polari effect instead of having to retry over and over again.
Making delta wing able to summon any level four photon monster would make it an actualy decent starter for the deck, it would turn it into a 1 card combo into solflare+ an xyz on its own if uninterrupted

I would be ok with simple changes. Dark Rabbit, Parrot Dragon, Bickuribox and Toon Alligator should all have the "Toon" type next to their "???/Normal" type, would anyone care? no, but it would be nice to expand a little. Also change Dragon Piper's effect altogether to be more anime accurate as it's too niche, and Larva Moth just have an effect that states "This card counts as Petit Moth", stuff like that, nothing too game breaking but at least bodes well enough to be worth doing to allow the iconic cards a better life.
Witch's Strike literally would not work if it were a counter trap tho. That person simply just does not understand how the card works.
Yeah should have just added a this card’s activation and effect cannot be negated clause but that would make it so insanely broken.
I'd like to remove the text "During your opponent's turn" from the 2nd effect of Zep. This would help the Ghoti deck be a bit more pro-active; you could feasibly run Aloof Lupine as a 1.5 card starter.
That would be sick honestly. I still like Aloof though but that'd be wayyy better.
My favorite deck is Trains. Derricrane is already way way to block on-summon effects (at least in the TCG) making Bullet Express a summon that does not start a chain, would give a deck designed to go second a way of getting two level 10s on the field without having to activate effects. Forcing opponents to include other forms of interruption in their end board, not just negations.

All gemini can special summon themselves from your hand if you control just gemini or no monsters
I want the order of Cross Sheep’s effects to be changed so Fusion is last, because as is, it causes cards to miss timing if you’re also pointing to a synchro or xyz.
I have accidentally caused Infernity Archfiend to miss timing more times than I would like to admit
Okay, but... Maxx C drawing 2 cards reduces the summons needed to mil them completely.
Two small changes to the new Lightsworn support that make them a lot better. Not necessarily good enough to be playable, but still far better:
1. Let Lightsworn Dragonling's (2) effect(that sends a LS card from deck to grave) ALSO WORK ON NORMAL SUMMON. The card is crazy, but the fact that you can only get your combo started by jumping through a dozen hoops just to facilitate Special Summoning the silly Beanie Baby is so annoying. Every day I look at Dragonling and ask myself why it has to be so hard to use, while a card like Snake-Eye Ash is allowed to exist.
2. Let Minerva the Athenian Lightsworn's (1) effect(that prevents LS monsters you control from being banished) to also protect the names in your Graveyard. This protects your combo lines from D.D. Crow and Bystials, and it allows you to more safely use Enlightenment Dragon, since it doesn't wipe out your Graveyard and completely kill your ability to play on turn 3.

I 100% agree that Krawler links should trigger when bounced again. It would make mind meld playable.
Concept for Super Quant; a new support monster where if it's sent to the graveyard, every time you Xyz Summon this turn, you draw a card. It's essentially the same effect as the archetypical Link monster, but just better in that it doesn't require you to go three monsters to make this effect happen and it isn't limited by monster zones. Whether new support is a Super Quantum Layer or perhaps a new Super Quantal Fairy is up to you.
The old reign-beaux should special itself on discard like goldd or sylva does
Tri-brigade ferijit is just a draw 1, bearbrum's lock is removed when searching and you only have to send 1 to the graveyard to special from banished

have Libromancer First Appearance give protection to Libromancer monsters the turn they're summoned and not allow your opponent to respond to your Libro ritual summons, now they won't be negated as often : )
Harmonic synchro fusion is so bizarre because ultra polymerisation already exists which basically does the same thing.
