Aoa,i havent really studied computer science at all (had bio in matric cuz of parents and eng in fsc aswell) however im really interested in cs/se so im applying for it in some universities,can you recommend some books/youtube guides for me to study on cs before uni starts so that i can keep up with the lectures.The most ive studied is basically a little bit of python and i know how to use a computer (playing games/editing videos etc since 5+ years.
Actually you have same mindset as me I used to play the games and edit videos back in the days and really knew about computer architecture and was deep into it but trust me computer science is a lot different it's all about programming coding problem solving if you are interested into it and want to opt it than go for it also kips fung books are best for practicing you can get them just watch my videos and I have explained how you can get them also CZcams guides there are various channels to help you out there you can watch them according to your topic needs like for maths you can go with professor Leonard or organic chemistry tutor and other channels too
@@ExpertGuythank you,tbh the part I've liked about cs is mostly programming and coding especially when I tried python it was "fun" to study and explore the different functions and ways to perform things,this is the only other subject that I've liked studying other than english and maths(yes alot of people question how I could like maths but i still do).For now I'll try my best at NU test and other universities aswell.Thank you for the help.

Bro I just gave NTS NAT-ICS (VI) test(first time) and scored 62/100 which is too low and I expected at least 75. I did my best to complete my exam as fast as possible but after completing all sections I only had 5-10 mins left for analytical reasoning which were not enough to solve all 20 MCQs, so I randomly filled those bubbles. I have 68.4% in my FSC-I (1st year) and my aggregate on basis of NTS (50% NAT + 50% FSC-I) is 65.22% which is almost the border line. I am applying for FAST Karachi campus and due to such bad result in NAT I'm now getting hopeless for FAST NU test since it is harder than NAT. My time management skills are very poor otherwise I believe I could have scored higher than 75 in NAT. Aur Kya 65% aggregate ka chance hai NTS based admission in CS for Karachi Campus?
On nat basis chances Kam hein ap nu ka test do ho jaye ga apka because nu ke test mei seats kaafi hoto hein and Karachi campus ka merit wese bhi itna high nhi hota as compared to LHR and isl campus Baki time management sirf practice se ati hai practice kro mcqs ka time fix kro ke meine itne mcqs itne time mei krne hein phir Baar Baar practice kro abhi nu test mei din hein give your best ho jaye ga Baki take no ten Karachi campus ka merit low hota hai so just ik dafa give your best shot and hopefully you will succeed inshallah

Bhai fast lhr mei computing programs ki kitni seats hoti hain? I have heard ky 1000 hoti hain aur bscs ki kitni hoti hain har fall mei. Last year kitni thi? Aur bhai hamein computing ki preference mei kya select karna chaye. Agar bscs(general) bsse aur bsds select karein tu bs cs robotics mei ja sakty hain kya.

No only nat-ie or nat-ics are accepted you have to give additional maths exam first

wa alikumsalam brother nat basis pe merit usually kafi high hota hai so try to score best around 90% to lazmi lo also its a bit risky but if you have around this percentage as well good score in your matriculation as well fsc than you got chances baki stay confident and give your best shot and have faith in Allah.

Fast mein negative marking ka website per kahan likha hai meine dhundha but kahin nhi milraha exact fast ki website per ke kitna negative marking hai ,,,, i have doubts ke eng mein kitni negative marking hogi some people are saying ke 4 mcq per 1 number , some are saying 8 mcq per 1 number and some are saying 12 kindly mujhe guide karden
4 mcqs Galat to ik deduct hota hai I remember it was 0.25 per mcq Baki English ki weightage 0.33 Hoti hai eng ke 30 mcqs hote hein 10 marks ka portion hota hai or is mei I don't remember exactly lekin baki portion mei per mcq 0.25 deduct hote Galat hone pe which means 4 mcqs Galat to 1 mark deduct ho ga

I have 83.11 percent in ibbcc olevels equivilance and 79.9% in alevels equivilance . My NAT ICS marks are 74 with 86.71 percentile do i have a chance in BSDS, BSAI ANND BSCS?
Nts seats for fast are limited so you need around 85 or more marks in nts to have a chance in bscs,you should apply for NU test aswell since its easier to get in with that.

@@fasiharohail3825 you (might) get selected for robotics with your nts score idk about DS.However I'd still suggest giving NU test even if you can't prepare completely,even if you score around 55 marks in the NU test you will be selected for a few programs but for cs/se you should aim for 65+.It consists of iq,english,basic maths and advance maths and the test has negative marking so only attempt those questions you are sure of.Kips fung book is good for practicing the advanced maths section since their questions are similar to those.

@@Gaming_Tayyab18 test easy tha Maine bas tayari nai ki thi. focus more on advance maths. 1st year 2nd year especially formulas. English aur intelligence easy hoti. Basic maths me basic addition multiplication subtract divide karna seekho but with decimal numbers.

Yes brother ap first year ki base pe apka 40 percent fsc consider ho ga and 10 percent matric Baki 50 percent test or apka admission ho jaye ga phir us ke Baad 2 year ka jab result aiye ga wo ap submit krwao ge and you have to have 60 percent in your overall fsc for your admission not to get canceled so agar apka admission 1 year ki base pe ho jaye and 2 year mei marks Kam bhi houn lekin itne houn ke overall fsc mei 60 percent hai than you are good to go
