Good to see you back on the U Tube merry-go-round Swynndla. Good to see you haven't lost your touch. Have a great 2022:-)
YOU SAVED ME !!! friend of mine accidentally changed the code on my garage door, and i managed to decode it with your technique. I'm deffo swapping locks tho hahaha
Well done on getting it open - excellent! :D :D Yea most combo locks can be decoded within a few minutes, and more people know how to decode them than can pick key-locks, so combo locks aren't secure imo.
@@Swynndla yeah it was pretty easy tbh... but you know what it was fun, i might try my hand at picking then haha
@@Lucas-vq7ex Ahhh yea some are easier than others, and some require different methods. I've done a bunch of videos showing different methods. It's a great feeling when it suddenly opens! :D D
I was just looking for a review of this, as it's one of the few branded 4-wheel combination padlocks available to buy in this country. Such bad performance from Yale (owned by Assa Abloy) is really disappointing and I will need to keep looking for alternatives.
Yea Yale does some really good key locks, but for combination locks it has a bug, that's for sure! Cheers
Good to see you again my friend. A happy new year to you and yours. Great decoding you still have that magic touch, cheers
and Happy New Year to you and yours :D :D Yea I still find combo locks easy and pin locks hard ;) ;) Cheers!
Cheers mate
Easy work for you
Stay well
Good breakdown. I enjoyed the video.
Thank you! ... yea I thought it was about time I did a video. :D :D It's interesting that my combination lock video's get way more views over time, because people forget their combination (or find an old lock somewhere) and so they look up on youtube to see if they can decode it. I sometimes get comments like "I've looked at several videos on line but yours was the only one that worked" ... and quite a few "It worked, you're a life saver!" One of the recent comments was where someone got a lock as a Christmas present but they stuffed up the combination when changing it, and my of videos helped then decode it, and so it saved their xmas present. Another comment was someone returned to their locked up bike, but someone had changed the combination on them and they could ride home, so they looked up youtube on their phone and found my video and they could decode it and ride home. :D :D Anyways, have an awesome 2022!
@@Swynndla I may need to follow one of your videos to figure out the combination on one of my bike locks! You have an awesome 2022, too. 🎆
@@magicaljohan In that case, look at czcams.com/video/Rn_Q3zWQhCY/video.html
Good job, and yes these are very easy to decode.
Nice to see you again mate. Good demo but sad lock. Happy New Year my friend.👍🥳😉
Thank you, and Happy New Year to you too :D :D ... thank you for the kind words.
Good to see you back here. Looks like that combi doesn't have any false gates, a pretty poor show from Yale.
Cheers! ... yea sometimes there's a false click but I wouldn't call them false gates. The previous version was more secure (although Potti314 did a video on the previous one showing a quick way to decode it, but that method doesn't work on this one, and this one is so easy to decode it doesn't need any extra-special tricks).
Dies often go out of tolerance over time. I wonder if it's a model b specific issue or if it's manufactured on the same line and tolerances have increased due to wear.
This one ("150B") was a brand new lock, and I could tell the wheel tolerances weren't as tight as the previous "150" model (ie the numbers don't have to be exactly in line with this 150B and it will still open). There are other differences, where there are no false gates (or no good ones) on teh 150B and also some of the methods that worked on the old 150 one don't work in the new one (eg look up Pott314's quick method for the old 150 model in his video "picking 544") so I think it's a different design on the inside (and probably cheaper to make)
What is code?
Blimey guv'na
Great to see you back doing what you do best in Locksport. Keep them coming we missed you.👍🦊
Thank you for your kind words :D :D Have a great 2022 Mr Fox
