Erik is Swedish. He won the Swedish Idol as a young pop singer in 2009. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with leukemia in 2021 but still went on to join the American metal band Skid Row in 2022. He recently stepped down so he could pursue his health care and thankfully pursue a solo career too. Wish him the best! Thanks Nick!

Swede here. I remember watching Swedish Idol with my daughter in 2009. We both totally fell in love with Erik, he has a fantastic voice and a nice personality. Thanks for this, he needs a bigger audience.

I have never heard a man sing this song well it`s about time Erik thank you that was a treat.
Erik is constantly changing his distance to the microphone to make it sound right. That takes some level of experience to do that right, knowing and managing his strength and volume.
I noticed that. I am Canadian and a Canadian singer by the name of kd Lang does this with a hand held microphone. She has incredible range in her voice and power and you will see her move the mic away from her similar to Erik. 2 great singers. kd has left us with some great covers and originals. She is retired now I believe

Thanks Nick. A great song written and first recorded by Dolly Parton. Then Whitney recorded it for the Bodyguard movie. Erik's cover is more true to Whitney's version except with his amazing vocals. He adds his own rock/metal edge to it and the sax is the best. So glad Erik is getting better. So much to go through. ❤ from a 🇨🇦Grammy

In Mars 24 2022, he stand with “Skid Row” for the first time on a stage in USA. He hasn’t so much hair then and use a hat the first tour he did with them.
And they also did an album, which he recorded himself at his own studio in his home and send it over to Rachel B. in “Skid Row”. It was the first time Erik recorded himself on that way. They have said it so many times, “-We are so happy, you didn’t tell us before”.😂😅
