How long does the soap stay fresh? I mean, is there any need of preservatives to keep it fresh for longer for commercial use? I'm sorry, I'm new in this field.
Honey is naturally like sterile, thats why it can be used in bsndages in the medical feilds that is if its real honey, so it shouldn’t hurt anything or need preservatives
When used in soap, the chemical change of ALL the ingredients in the mix used to make the soap change in the reaction called "saponification". The lye changes EVERYTHING. In any decent soap class, forum, or CZcams video, you will find the advice given is that organics, meaning ANY additives that either come from a living thing, whether plant or animal, will be broken down to its cellular components. Green things will turn brown or black, yellows will become pale versions of themselves, blues & purples will turn a muddy brown, etc. Flowers or flower buds will literally look like excrement or something that died in the soap; dried fruit can actually be dangerous either because it can cause an allergic reaction, or cause abrasions; and at other times an additive can make a soap to develop DOS, Dreaded Orange Spots, areas of rancidity that not only are unsightly but smell AWFUL & can't just be cut out, your whole batch of soap needs to be thrown out. I've been making really basic soaps, no fancy colors or decorations, for almost 10 yrs now, but it took me almost 18 mos before THAT first time I made soap that I was watching YT videos, & reading Soaping101.com, & blogs, & joining forums. And just lurking bcs I felt too dumb to ask questions. Even now, I'm still making mistakes w/ my basic soaps, but I know the questions to ask, even if some of them are dumb. So there's a LOT of things to learn, but you've GOT TO GO LOOKING for yourself first. If you don't try, ppl aren't going to be willing to hand feed you the info. Have fun learning!! ❤

250 g clear soap base: amzn.to/3FRB88Q
½ tsp honey
1 tsp annatto oil (1 tsp annatto powder: amzn.to/3HxjOHl infused in 2 tbsp olive oil)
1 tsp fragrance oil

They won't expire. However you can place them in the chilled tray in your refrigerator.

You can't make melt and pour without a solvent. Even transparent cold process needs a solvent.
