- Former Python and film director Terry Gilliam has been cancelled from the Old Vic following staff unrest due to comments he's previously made about the metoo movement and identity politics. Were his comments wrong? Should we be letting minimum wage ice cream vendors decide what we're allowed to see in the theatre?
When you make fun of something abhorrent, you rob it of it's power. That's why comedians are in the firing line.

At a time when there are lots of people looking for work ... why do businesses let themselves be blackmailed by their staff ... sack anyone who complains and hire people who actually want a job ... NO ONE IS IRREPLACEABLE !
The problem with the MeToo movement was that the media focused on rich celebs, not the women who endure sexual violence in crap jobs (like hotel maids, assembly line workers, retail clerks, etc.) they can't afford to lose because they are supporting their families. Privileged women don't want to overthrow the patriarchy, they just want a better seat at the table. Cancel culture emanates from privilege, which is why it's so successful.

I had a shock recently when I went to buy some "Dreamies" cat treats for my pet only to find the packs were decorated with the rainbow flag and the statement: "we support the LGBTQ" community". I didn't realise that animals had got into all this wokery agitation. Keep an eye on your ankles!
