Great Word. I appreciate those secure in the Church of Jesus Christ. I pray their zeal continue. Even as it is…from a pure desire. Fruit shall remain after the pruning!!! Surely some of these are that which shall withstand the great shaking. THESE ARE GREATLY VALUED.

I was one year old at that time! I don't think people would take what he said well todayand it's because of the wicked state of the world, especially those of our faith. Its so applicable to today!

What was true then remains true today. Truth stands out in spades as few believed back then.

great talk. Just be sure not to conflate the words used with how words are understood now, such as "liberal", which has taken a different path in how it is interpreted, especially politically, as the common opposite "conservative" has really changed and garnered a large amount of political baggage, particularly driven by non-Christian "Christians". I love this talk since its focus is on building a testimony in our savior, really what we should focus on. Regardless if we are politically "conservative" or "liberal", we need to just be sure that we don't confuse our political ideologies with the concept of being on the right path. Especially, we need to be careful to assume that those on the other side of the political aisle are not on the right path.

Well said. It is funny, when I was younger and living in the middle east, the term liberal was used ONLY in a positive way among westerners living there. It referred to countries that were friendlier to westerners and allowed for western choices like alcohol or pork.

I think I disagree. The term liberal, now progressive, means a person or society that is constantly open to change or pushing the boundaries of societal conventions. Eventually, they are going to push way pass morality and propriety, which they clearly have done in the last 50 years, starting with the liberation of sex and drugs in the 60s and 70s and more recently with homosexuality and transgenderism. Liberalism eventually seeks to accept all forms of behavior. There is no right and wrong, but all must be tolerated, then accepted, and finally encouraged. It is an evil way of thinking that is cloaked secretly in "love" and "equality. It accomplishes neither of these things, but rather pulls societies closer and closer to Satan and his angels.

Make sure to understand that liberals were different from what they are now. It's ok to be a Democrat. It's not ok to say the prophets are wrong

Not if you understand the national democrat platform.

I’m at a point where I believe nothing honest or truthful comes from our modern day progressive liberal. LITERALLY NOTHING !Progmo’s are spiritual cancer in the Petri dish.

You bet it's ok. It's ok to he a democrat and it's ok to be republican. The current prophet and apostles have made that clear. I think the most famous democrat in church leadership in my life time was President Faust and he was good friends with the late senator Harry Reid. And although I wasn't always a fan of Harry Reid the senator, I was a fan of Harry Reid the member of the church.
