Very helpful video. Thank you so much. You're actually quite good at filming and explaining what you're doing. Much better than some of those smart - arses on TV. Well done you!
Very helpful , a couple of tips .... I've a right hand drive model also , to remove the filter cover use a flat panel removal tool .Ease it in over the top of the bottom clip and twist the tool until the clip releases .You shouldn't need to remove any floor carpet. And after removing the glovebox and ventilation tube you should be able to work on the filters without disconnecting any electrics.
Good job there mate. Very helpful. One word of advice though, never just disconnect the battery. There is a special procedure to follow before doing this. If you disconnect the battery without following this procedure you will cause all kinds of electronic headaches very expensive mistake to make. The main dealer will love you.
In cars with saynav you will need to take the unit out, you can use a bit of coat hanger wire in the side holes. You then just slide out the DVD unit and prise off the cable blocks. Also note the position of the Evaporator Sensor, it is the thing with a green wire just beside the cabin filter cover. If you A/C fails it is likely this. It turns to the left and pulls out. The hard thing can be getting hold of a new one, Renault often hasn't got any in the UK or France.
Very helpful, this was an absolute pig of a job and my mechanic handed me the filters last year and said i have no idea where they go. Finally i got round to it myself last night .. mine is a 2008 laguna estate 1.5dci RHD currently with 188000 miles! couple of pointers to help people as i was baffled or overlooked so i will add to your already brilliant video there is also a link here to LHD diagram instructions which may aid you in the initial removal of the trim www.sogefifilterdivision.com/catalogues/import/notices/N207.pdf 02:11 the guy already has the access plate for the pollen filter slot off . to take this off it detaches via a clip from the bottom underneath the slot first so go for that first, dont try and remove it via the top clip. i found a flat head screwdriver when placed in between and turned prised the clip off and out you may see the first filter and remove it and maybe like me forget there is a further filter still in there . use your phone and video camera with torch on and you should see it and hopefully pull it out. there was also a lot of leaves in here, maybe a hoover with crevice tool would serve well here. 02:40 THERE ARE 2 FILTERS THAT GO IN HERE AND ITS BLOODY TRICKY. one stacked on top of each other i pretty much bent the filter at a right angle in order to let it slide in. Then i pushed it up with my fingers and held it there with a long screwdriver while trying to get the other one in that sits directly underneath it . i never bothered disconnecting the battery but im a super novice mechanic capable of damn all. maybe i should add my list of woes with the car. check injection comes on if just cruising round town. maybe once a day, maybe once a week. never on motorway etc. seems like it doesnt like to travel at low speed . if i stop, turn the car off and on again then it comes back to life. been like this the last 50k and ive just put up with it. air con doesnt work period

Thanks, this was very helpful. Only one large filter came out of mine. Original equipment I guess. Lag 3 2010 60k
Mine too. Almost had to destroy the thing but eventually got it out. It was disgusting.
