As someone who worked at a gas station, you'd be surprised how many people forget to remove the gas nozzle and rip it out as they drive away. It's so common that most pumps have a piece that will cleanly break off when it's pulled too hard so it can easily be put back on. The nozzle and hose parts that detach have serial numbers so when they're found they can be traced back to where they broke from.

Having grown up at a marina in the 1960s when outboard engines (as well as many lawn mowers and some other small engines) used mixed gasoline, I was accustomed to finding gasline stored in containers with the oil already mixed in. As a young adult, I was staying at my parents' home while they were away. There was a heavy snowstorm, and I decided to use their snowblower to aid in clearing snow for their return. The snowblower used mixed gasoline and its tank was nearly empty. I picked up the fuel container next to it and gave the contents a sniff; to me it smelled like gasoline mixed with oil some time ago, so I sloshed the can's contents to remix it, filled the snowblower's tank and attempted to use the snowblower (a little single stage). The machine ran very poorly and soon I could no longer restart it. I gave up and hand shoveled the driveway and sidewalks. It turned out the unmarked container contained kerosene. There was no permanent damage to the engine, but my father was disappointed his daughter could not differentiate among kerosene and the two different gasoline and oil mixtures he kept at hand. (We didn't even have kerosene around while I was growing up.) I judged I had done my penance by shovelling so much waist-deep snow.
I do not know what was funnier, the "stupidity " or the SPOT ON Patrick Stewart impersonation!

When I was much younger, in the 80s, I had an awful habit of locking my keys in my car. At this time it was very easy to find wire clothes hangers at most businesses, but plastic was really starting to come into fashion. I became a pro at using a hanger to break into my car, but as the 80s went on and plastic hangers were becoming more the norm, sometimes I'd have trouble finding a wire hanger. I figured out the answer and solved my problem so I always had a wire hanger available. My sister is riding in my car one day and from the back window ledge she pulls out a straightened hanger. She asked me why I had this wire hanger in my car. I proudly said "so when I lock my keys in my car, I always have a.... ooops". I realized it as the words were coming out of my mouth.
My husband once locked his keys inside the car as well when we were at a hotel, security refused to help without seeing the registration on his name (which was inside the car lol). He took an umbrella from our room, took it apart and used to open the car.
You can unscrew your antenna & use that 👍

My ex turned to me and legitimately said “they should make like one big cupcake that you can just cut into smaller pieces.” I looked at him insanely waiting for his brain to catch up to his words, but nothing. He noticed my crazy look and responded “what? It’s a good idea. I think I just invented something.” I finally said, so you think you just invented the cake?” He took a second and finally laughed. He truly didn’t realize he was referring to a cake the entire time and honestly thought cupcakes predated the actual cake. 🎂 😂

I actually saw some people forget their keys in their car door once and me and my dad decided we should see how long it would take for them to realize where the car keys went and it took about an hour and after we saw one of them realize where the keys were me and my dad bursted out in tears it was hilarious

Just recently, I was searching for my eyeglasses. I even went to locate my older prescription to aid the search. Yes, my vision is that poor. I then went into the bathroom to check once again. In my reflection were my missing glasses on top of my head.
So yes, leaving keys in the car door is a real thing. So is, leaving keys on the mailbox, car roof and on any flat surface.

This reminds me of where I did something really stupid my dad told me when we were both outside to close the trunk slowly but I thought he meant to leave it open we went back inside took a water break but I forgot that the hood was open and we went for a drive and then one minute later the hood flew open and broke his truck

I got my tongue stuck to a frozen pole while waiting for the bus once, I was like 12, I didn't have any warm water on hand so I did the only thing I could think of...

My dad was walking home from the bus and saw a dad and 2 children riding bikes with hanging plants. He first thought how cute it was until he got home and realized they stole them from our house. Years later while sitting on the beach, he said to me “I just saw a woman with the same initials as you.” I said, how do you know that? He replied “she had a beach bag engraved with them.” Yup, someone stole my beach bag (cell phone, wallet, and car keys in it) right in front of my dad as I was in the ocean. lol. I got one to share. My college educated husband used RAID pine scented insecticide spray as an air freshener. His thought was it's pine scented to freshen up the air. I had to leave the back door in the kitchen opened overnight to air out the insecticide.

The people trying to fit that couch into their car must have been Habitat ReStore customers, I worked there for a while and we had to deal with that kind of stupidity everyday, they have a hard time understanding that the square block does not fit into the round hole and it does not matter what you tell them 😆, I call their type the spatially challenged 🤣
I worked at Walmart. I have enough stories of stupid people to fill many books.
Example: I was stocking the Butter which is next to the Sour Cream. A customer asked me "Where is the sour cream?" THEY WERE LOOKING AT IT! Literally looking at it before they asked me.
Hey a fellow Habitat Restore associate yeah I've seen a few of those there's also the people who insist something isn't that heavy and come alone. It usually just 1 person in the back to help with loading we cannot lift a 600lb marble sink with just 2 people even with a handtruck.
I find it sad. People like that probably didn’t have the proper education when they were young. Not their fault.

21:37 - Ironically the car spraying as well as lawn watering during or after it rains was a common thing around my hometown. Reason? My hometown being a major mining community which didn't have smelter chimneys that were high enough to send the rather acidic byproducts of the process high enough in the altitude which meant acid rain all the time. Hell, the area became a scorched earth leaving behind nothing but pitch black rocks. But then folks turned turned the situation around in what's recognized in many circles as the most successful "re-greening" project undertaken by mankind.
It's a miracle that humanity has made it this far lol.
The most stupid thing I've done was eating breakfast a little bit too fast. Milk was pouring out my nostrils for a few minutes after.

Stupidest thing I did was when I was 5 having a medical check up and the nurse asks me can I stand on one foot? I say "sure" and proceed to stand my right foot on top of my left. My grandfather who took me nearly wet himself laughing so hard.
I once was at a check up as well and the doctor asked me to push my chin down to my neck (which I did) and then to look up. I did that too, while my chin was still touching my neck. Was not very convenient, but I was trying to look up kind of sideways lol. I realized that there was something wrong when heard laughing.
