Hey, just gotta tell ya, I got a new phone today, and I wanted to check the sound card. (Naturally I went to your channel for the sound quality) This track is stunning. Bravo. I remember sitting in my mother's egg chair, listening to this track on her Quadraphonic reel to reel system. Anyway, I've never heard it sound like this.!!! Thanks for the memory!
This excellent experimental 10cc song of 1975 made a lasting impression on me when I first heard it as a child during the summer of 1975. Haunting, captivating, relaxing, dreamlike. It was the first time I ever heard a computer synthesizer used throughout an entire song. AM radio stations of the time actually let this 6 minute song play out in its entirety when pop songs were promptly cut off by by DJs and commercials.
This song was a high light during high school. The kind of song you never forget. 70's music / groups will continue to live on in our hearts 💖💜💜💜💖 ... forever.
This song came out when I was 16 and was always on the radio. I didn't dislike it, but it didn't set me on fire either. In middle age I now realise what a great song it is. The story of how they overdubbed the voices on the intro is amazing. Check it out. Also when I realised what other classic 60's songs Grahame Gouldman wrote. e.g. Bus Stop, No milk today
Wow talk about taking me back when I was around 8 years old. Saw this on your list of vídeos and I knew I had to listen, and it does not disappoint. Total Awesomeness! 🎧
Impressive sound quality and well matched video for this excellent 10CC song from 1975! Thanks for the memories! This innovative, captivating, experimental song made a lasting impression on me as a child hearing it on the radio during 1975.
You have excelled yourself visually complimenting this modern masterpiece from 10CC. Their defining moment in 1975. The sound quality and pics compliment each other perfectly. Thank you for fully understanding this song.
Always so nice to hear from you on the videos, Robert Johnson! I truly appreciate you and thanks for watching and for the nice comments! May great music always be in you ears! ;-)
I did the same thing had stacks of bad cassette recordings from the radio not even a good stereo but transistor single mono speaker onto an open mic on a portable with back ground sounds and all!
What a smooth tune to have grace one's ears on a warm summer afternoon or romantic evening with that "someone special". Sure miss your work, Jon. Hope to see something soon before 2018 goes ny the wayside.
Always so nice to hear from you on the videos, Mike Preston-Engel! I truly appreciate you and thanks for watching and for the nice comments! May great music always be in you ears! ;-)
Can you imagine if we had flac quality and the added video in 1975? Aliens and legal weed would've been easier to swallow! Bravo on the work.......as always
LOL! Weren't those great days to be alive? I was 14 when this song came out in 1975.....and for me at least, the music and the times between '75 to '85....anyone who lived it knows there wasn't ever a better time to be a teenager! Thanks Ed!
Amazing song and video, i especially love the beginning with the man playing with the little child. Need to watch this movie now :) You're right colors look amazing
This song *just* crossed paths with me again a few days ago, so the timing was perfect. A real psychedelic classic here. Wonderful job on the video, as always!
I'm glad your paths crossed again, 'cause you don't really want to go TOO long without some "I'm Not In Love"! ;-) Thanks so much for checking and the cool comment!
WOW, what a great, classic song! You always outdo yourself with your awesome videos as well. Now that I purchased a streaming stick for my 55" plasma HDTV, I can watch your vids there, and i'm thrilled! Total eye and ear candy!
Thanks friends for the comments...no time to reply now, but can someone please give a critical listen and let me know if there is bleedthrough audio from the film soundtrack occurring?
So deep. Is like seeing inside the dream. This video helped reflect part of my life and to see that “my” life may not be so separate. 💗👁💜 * Thankyou for sharing this deep artistic expression here. It has helped me go deeper within. 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼
you are very welcome! Thank YOU!!!!! I hope you don't mind, but I have shared your videos with people on a music forum I belong to....they loved 'I'm not in love' and John's 'You are here'.....I've told them about your videos and told them to check them out on CZcams....hope that's ok.....
Absolutely share away....I don't really spend enough time working for views, so I'm at the mercy of others to help me out.....thanks! Sincere appreciation for the visits, joyce (with a bunch o' 9's) :-)
Wow! Just beautiful, and a favorite for over forty years! So glad it received renewed attention after Guardians came out. Loved your video, and btw, it sounded perfect to me! Thanks :)
Yes, I think this song is kinda special for most of us that were growing up when this was popular, I was 14 when I first remember those sweet notes coming through the tinny a.m. radio....it never sounded better than those days! :-) It is nice that a whole new generation is coming across some of great music from back in tha day thanks to Gaurdians.....but there is so much more they are missing. Take care my friend!
Thanks friends for the comments...no time to reply now, but can someone please give a critical listen and let me know if there is bleedthrough audio from the film soundtrack occurring?
Thanks friends for the comments...no time to reply now, but can someone please give a critical listen and let me know if there is bleedthrough audio from the film soundtrack occurring? I've had this issue a couple of times before, when even though I've got other film elements sound to zero, they somehow end up with low volume. Specifically from around the first scene of the gas station into the first clip of the couple outside the orange street cafe....around the :45 sec towards 1:35 or so? I listened once carefully and didn't have any so I didn't really listen to the next couple of re-renders I made after a couple quick re-edits....now I think it's there? Please someone let me know if you are hearing the film track through the music track so I can redo.
Actually , right at :49 . It's a blip. There was so much backward tracking back then. I think that's what it is. I thought it was something I never heard before Jon. With all the advancements , a lot of new things are revealed . Anyways, it's barely noticeable . Great job Jon.
One of my favorite songs. Like you, I first heard it on the radio, then hearing it on the stereo at home was a whole other experience. Your video is amazing.
Spectacular effort as usual. Your talent is limitless, MetalMan. Not just with your videos, but also with how you choose songs and scenes that take my heart and mind back to a place where I want to be.
You did outstanding editing {as always} on a great song, Jon! The visuals are great and lend so much to the lyrics of the lamenting love song. I agree with you statement: "ageless in its plaintive beauty." True that, dear friend ... Heart rendering share Jon ~:) Love it! ~ D ~:)
Greetings D! I love the tune! I'm happy you enjoyed the edit to the film...both beautiful things! I miss lots of my old friends from the old days, and you guys were with me from the beginning. Wishing you both peace love and understanding in the USA tonight....cause we could sure use some about now. :-( Take care! :-)
MetalGuruMessiah It's so good to see you! So true are your words, Jon ... "and understanding in the USA tonight cause we could sure use some about now" ... I guess only time will tell as Americans move through the days ahead.Things are such a mess, the USA needs a recovery, real bad. . We both hope you're doing well, overall ... Dan's back on his feet working and I'm still re-covering from the heart surgery I had in July. It's been another long hard year for us, but we're hanging in like everyone does ~:) Dan's not here on YT much anymore, he has no time w/his work schedule. His channels are still open, but it doesn't look like he'll get here anytime soon. I pass spare time making vids more than ever while trying to build up my endurance. This is a long recovery! We miss a lot of folks who aren't here anymore, too. Wishing you & your family much love and a New Year filled with peace and all good things, Jon. Take good care and stay well, dear friend ~ From our hearts & home *love* as always :) :) D & D
Dear Metal Guru Messiah: I LOVE this song, and think you did a lovely job, as always, with the video! The sound is sublime as well! I loved your videos so much that I had to subscribe! Keep them coming, please! I also love the info/descriptions you write on many of your videos....great, and very interesting/informative. The artistry is so stunning on your videos as well....they have brought me such joy! Another fav of mine is your vid of John's 'You Are Here'....just beautiful!! I play it whenever I feel stressed out and it calms me down immediately....I love it so much. Thank you. As to the song by 10CC, 'I'm Not in Love', omg that brings back memories.... the lyrics are unbelievably beautiful, as is the melody, and WHAT A DELIVERY......OMG!!!!! Thanks so much for this one, and so many others as well; all of them, really! Please don't ever stop creating them! They truly help heal the world! Love,Joyce
Sincere thanks for such a beautiful and kind comment, Joyce. It means alot to hear from other fans who share a love of the music we grew up with and who have connected with the videos I've made for some of my favorite songs. I try to light up the songs with video that will maybe open them up to some new fans and allow the older fans to see/hear them in a way that takes them to a higher place. I love John's "You Are Here" as well and I'm glad you've enjoyed that one....i've been working on a few of my ancient Beatle solo vids and this one is a great candidate for a rework of better video and audio (while maintaining the same concept).....hopefully if and when i get around to it, you'll enjoy it even more. I don't have as many viewers and/or subscribers as many others, but I love the people who love the music that I love! ;-) I'll keep making 'em as long as you'll keep on watching 'em! Thanks again for your support and encouragement! Jon
Actually, I think I actually have numerous ones that I didn't correctly label at the time...I just labeled them FLAC...but, yeah....I think I might use more when I can because sometimes they are the best versions to my ears. Thank you!

To think I used to record this on my cassette recorder off the radio. Not one attached to the stereo but the shoebox one.
I did the same thing had stacks of bad cassette recordings from the radio not even a good stereo but transistor single mono speaker onto an open mic on a portable with back ground sounds and all!

Thank you
What is with all the pagan annotations crap at the end? Poster is into devil worship or something? WTF?
