Angie Watts is the Queen of Eastenders as she was the original Queen Vic landlady, all those that followed after pale in comparison. Even the actress who plays Linda Carter said she bases her portrayal of Linda on Angie.
@@gyobfan22 It’s debatable but when I hear “Queen of the Vic” I automatically think of Peggy Mitchell. Angie had great character but was a drunkard who only ran the pub for 4 years.

Yep, Shirley and Peggy always had a great bond. I don’t think they’ve had any troubles had she been her daughter in law, unlike Sharon. You can see by putting their hand over one another their relationship was strong. I don’t think Shirley annoyed Peggy . Shirley probably saw in her a mother she never had.

I noticed that Peggy rarely called characters by their name when she returned .
That was some subtle genius on the producer’s part because of her brain cancer 👏👏👏😃😃😃
Even though there wasn’t much talking/catching up in her goodbye episodes, just imagine the laughs and catch ups she had behind the scenes and I can imagine it would’ve been so emotional for everyone and especially her walking of set for the last ever time 😢
