I was actually waiting for someone lending some money and not wanting it back later because they're such good friends
That would have been spot on. "keep those 2,50 I would never ask that back from you"
It depends on where you live in the Netherlands. The further you go to the south, the more generous the people get I think.
I just don't give a fuck about my neighbours... I always hear their dog bark and their children scream, so i turn up my rawstyle as revenge
It's not so much that we don't want to obey the law, just that we think we know better.
@OhPlease a In most villages I have been with a 100 inhabitants they either have no traffic lights or there is a major traffic route going trough that village. Yes there are a few exceptions, but they're not that crazy.
The problem is that most traffic lights are placed at extremely stupid places and also take too much time to go from red to green. Some streets have traffic lights every 100 meters and some streets have none for like 500.
Yeah or we just don’t care and are impatient sons of bitches.. i mean i know...if the light is red and there are 0 cars i will cross because there is no danger.. plus i doubt police will care here either as long as you are walking or biking.. they will probably warn you but not much else
I never got how in hollywood movies people just stop by unexpectedly, like no im not in the mood for you
Those people also often don't have their doors locked (in Friends for example)
Yeah, I hate that. I have one friend who does that pretty often and I HATE it, but I am too polite to tell her... :D
Ezzel Official you’r right. When it comes to Western people; young people and middle aged people have packed agendas. But when they get old they wish someone would visit. Such a shame.
I’m a non-Western myself. As a child the kids from the neighbors who were Dutch would always come by without appointment and ask to play outside. Me and my sis and brother never did that. My mum would not allow us. So i find that funny.
Bohdy Pennings i have this friend who does it sometimes. And i just cannot stand it. Not her but its always in that moment you are busy

They where glad to see me of course specially after traveling halfway around the globe but they made damn sure how i had spoiled there weekend plans. So formal. But very proud of my dutch blood.
I have a Spanish dad and whenever we see a house that you can just look into whithout any problem he's so confused on why people would do that.
As a latin person I can confirm, it icks me. Cant believe they love letting people just look inside.
And I don't get that you would want to walk around in artifical light when there is sunlight. It is not about letting other people walk inside, it is about sunlight anf being able to look outside yourself. I seriously don't get why you would have windows if you are going to close your blinds every single time. Just go live in a bunker then
Not sure about other dutch people, but for me its just i don't care enough about your opinion to take away my own access sunlight...
I was teaching my kid to ride a bike when I got the notification. I hope he's ok, I'm about halfway through the video😂
Also if they pay a bit more they will not say 'Don't worry, it is just a few Euros anyway.' But some of the foreigners get almost offended if you want to give them the 1 or 2 euros extra that they paid. Very very very Dutch to count every cent.

Nothing wrong with asking for it back, when instead, you might be risking a; 'I always pay for you' kindof situation.

Also, I still remember the friends that owe me money. One owes me 22 euros and I haven't spoken to him in ages. He probably doesn't think of me anymore.

Most dutch people don't seem to like germans, but I've always really liked you guys. And the great thing about Germans: They know how to build stuff to last, which I think is amazing. Here in the netherlands we build flimsy little things and then complain when they get vandalized. I've seen little lampposts in some minor park in Aachen that will probably still be stuck entirely intact to some spacerock once the earth gets eventually destroyed. Real german quality. Lots of love from The Hague.

"Sorry but I'm offended by your sense of fashion, here's a 100 EUR fine."
