Mike is a lot more talented than p think, i'd love his life....
I think most people would swap places to have Mike Love's life :)
The one you overlooked is the cassette he released with Dean Torrence called "Rock'n'Roll City" sold through Radio Shack.
That was more of a time thing unfortunately ... We found quite a bit to talk about on the topic!
I am the biggest Brian Wilson fan there is. I have everything 5 times over and will keep buying. Your show is doing nothing but tarnishing the the legacy. Mike is a cheeseball but he kept the brand going and hosts the the concert yearly . If your a real fan of there work and not just looking for views take the time to see him. It gives us real hardcore fans a gathering. Before long there will be no one and us fans will be watching cover bands singing our favorite music. Sure what he does is kind of a cover band version of it but it’s still a gathering for people to go to and enjoy. If you really care about the music and the boys negative crap just keeps making people pick sides. Brian gets a cut off every show mike does. Can we just stop and respect one of the greatest bands of all time. Teach the music to the next generation. Stop the picking sides.
Im the archivist at the St. Charles History Museum, and this year we are doing our exhibition on Music in town which im just setting up.
Brian Wilson lived here in the 1990s while he was getting back into the swing of things.
In fact his first solo performance ever was at our local performing arts center!
That's so cool!! Was it recorded?
@@jimjones6901 It was filmed for a TNN special, but I have only been able to find the footage that was taken from the 1998 Imagination documentary! They did two takes of every song, and thr setlist is online
I would disagree with your assessment of the other musicians in Celebration. It has more to do with the material they had to work with.
Maybe a poor choice of words. Weak songs and most likely members not being on an even footing to Mike.
13:17 about Mike Love is 13:17 seconds too long
Mike produced a lot of schlock, if the money was right he would do just about anything. That's really why Mike doesn't get a lot of respect. In his solo career the only thing coming close to a hit was "Almost Summer" and Brian wrote the music and some lyrics to that.
100%
Love was a member of a group that the Wilson’s put together, he sang the parts Brian gave him and changed some verses in a group of songs, some for better some for worse. Any thing else is cringe worthy.
