Honestly, I adore this game. It was all I played on my phone for, like, a month or more. I think I got a win with every character . . . maybe? I'll have to look back at my save file. Would love to see more of this, though. This game needs the coverage, and DEFINITELY deserves it.
Damn it, I bought it. It's frickin' addicting. It took 6 attempts to clear easy, but in so doing, I unlocked a bunch of items that will appear between stages. Good stuff.

Best dice-building roguelike by a head a shoulder in my opinion-I think it's the only one that really managed to make the genre work. So happy you covered this, and like many other commenters, I'd love to see a full series!

I wonder if the Android version will be updated too? I am currently trying and failing to get the Unfair Custom party unlock, I get often to the final boss... and then fail to outdamage it.

I recently beat the unfair mode for the first time, since I don't have money to play the full version.
Really satisfying to beat something so difficult because I know that I somewhat got better.

Started playing like 2 weeks ago. I thought I was a bad bitch and started my first game on normal. Got my ass whooped but decided to commit and after a few more tries, beat it 😌🙌 It was super fun, and after clearing easy and then hard (took me a full week to clear, goddamn) I downloaded the rest of the game and I'm having a blast still!

They just had to update it when I'm on deadline with my master thesis. Oh well, I guess I can always submit it next year
Anyone know if the mobile version has this update/version? I looked on Google Play and could only find the original game. I know he mentioned this was a beta, so perhaps it isn't available yet.
You can download the .APK on the itch.io page, it will be released in the normal way when it is out of beta I am sure

OMG FINALLY!!! 100% the mobile version.
Letting units flee shortens the fight, that's about all I could find as far as benefits. I was hoping that if you prevented enemies from fleeing, and then next turn you could rez a dead hero, then that hero would have full HP next fight. Unfortunately, nope: That rezzed hero is still at half-HP next battle.

Fyi, the update isn't out just yet, but tann provided a download link to 2.0 APK on Slice & Dice discord, you can access the discord through the itch link in video description (some save shenanigans might apply)
Update on the update: copy your achievements to clipboard and save them in a note or sth. The beta apk is demo so you might want to back up everything in case you wanna revert back

@@Brokendog-wt4ul no idea, post by tann on the game discord said hopefully the beta is short - it only dropped ten days ago though, so we'll probably still have to wait a bit given bugs etc. Best to monitor the discord tbh

I am not sure if it did yet since it is a beta. You may be able to get a 2.0 mobile beta via itch and import it to your phone, but I don't know 100%. I can pretty confidently say it will eventually makes it way to mobile if it isn't now.

@@Sekuci same for me, in discord there is a download for the beta (but you might lose your progress). But there it also says that the it should be only a short beta, so I decided to wait till the real game drops

Since many people are asking about playing the 2.0 beta on their phones, here's what Tann says on the Discord server:
If you bought on the play store, there's an updated APK here. You have to uninstall the old version, some save file peril, proceed at your own risk!

For play store achievements, try book -> unlocks -> merge achievements from 1.0
Can't restore purchase? I don't know why either, sorry. Hopefully it will be fixed when I release properly on the play store
This version uses a new save file, but it should prompt you to copy achievements over if you have an old save.
