I love seeing the fish you catch, but can't wait to learn some insight on what you use and why. It will get people excited to go out and try for themselves.

Is there still dog racing down there in Fort Walton Beach? I haven't been down there since 1983
What length rod do you suggest for pier fishing? I currently have a 7ft mh and a 10ft mh. I’m think about getting a 8-9 foot rod as the 10 footer is long for pier fishing and wears me out, and the 7 footer is kinda small for bigger fish like kings and jacks. Was thinking maybe the 8’6” ninja dagger. What’s your input? Thanks in advance
I also wouldn’t mind having a cheaper option if you know of one, as I only saltwater fish 2-3 times a year.
I like an 8ft rod for all day pier fishing. Something with big eyelets to help cast live baits farther. Usually a custom made rod is best for pier fishing. But good 8ft rods can be found in bait and tackle shops if you know what you’re looking for. I’m fishing with a Star Rod. I haven’t browsed Ninja Daggers entire line up but they do make good stuff. I have a 9ft ND and I don’t use it for fishing with live bait.
i got a x-rap size 12 in the pilchard color had it for 3 months and the only fish i caught with it was a hardtail i used 30lb seven strand wire any tips u could give?
There’s a lot that has to do with fishing these style baits. First, depending on the day, the fish may prefer that pattern or a completely different pattern that the one you’re throwing. Ya never know. The fish could be leader shy, but I don’t want to suggest going to mono-fluoro leader because you may get bit off. A risk you may or may not want to take. If you do, try 50lb leader at minimum. Lastly, try different cadences. Sometime they want to chase, other times, they will hit it on the pause. Just gotta keep casting, brother! 🤙
@@VitaminDeeTV i bought it for king mackerel because im not really good with using cigar minnows i had 80lb mono on before but than a local fisherman suggested wire
@@punisher5390 Right now the kings aren’t as abundant to go out and easily catch them on lures. Your best bet is going to be fishing with cigar minnows or L-Y’s because you know that’s what they’re feeding on. I’m not saying that you won’t catch one on the lure, but it’s definitely going to be a bit more challenging. And to make you feel better, I’ve only been getting followed by fish using my XRAP ever since this video. Haha 😂
I went fishing for Spanish for 4 days and I didn’t catch anything not even with recommended baits or frozen bait
You’re not always going to catch one. It’s really a tough fish to catch! Timing is everything and the conditions have to be nearly perfect for them! Keep at it!
