Batman the Movie for Spectrum 128k.
What an awsome port this was. Even years later after having played other versions, I still think the spectrum version stands up well and shows the developers really put the effort in on this one. Its a short game, but its has multiple gameplay types and music for each level. A great port and I never regreted buying this game.
Only niggle is that there is no ending as such, and it just loops from level one again, only harder (take more damage from hits). Hardest level was the Balloons level which was nigh on impossible. Took me more then a few goes to get through. God knows how it would be on the second loop with higher difficulty. -

Loving the tune from the last level. Even after all these years
One can only drool at what the Spectrum would have been like with custom graphics and sound hardware. As limited as it is, the spectrum was amazing for its day, and this is another great game that shows the Spectrum off.
This is the best Ocean game for sure. Even the music is wonderful this time.
I think it uses the same engine as Robocop, because design is quite similar.

Many games from Ocean have gorgeous soundtrack : Platoon, Robocop, Mutants, Sly Spy etc. They had great composers : Jonathan Dunn, Fred Gray, Keith Tinman, Matthew Cannon, etc.
Great playing mate, I remember finishing it back in the day too, brilliant Batman game by Ocean, and with class music throughout👍🏻
Graphics done by Dawn Drake (woman!) and music by Mathew Cannon is exceptional. Best game for ZX Spectrum, hands down

I played this a lot back in the day :) But I'm actually realizing that this looks a lot like Robocop for the Spectrum too! Up to some sound effects as well! Still, it's such a fun game to play :)

The untouchables is another great game from ocean..Great in music and gameplay...I think it runs in the same engine
Great game. and IMO the 2D batmobile/batplane levels on 8bits were much better than the 3D counterparts on 16bits

This platform game has Ocean written all over it. They were a great software company for producing good platformers. However the ending was a bit of an anti-climax. I mean killing the joker with one batarang. You would have thought the final boss would have put up more of a fight. Other than that graphically not a bad game.
I thought good games had good endings? Still, with 3 people programming this game, its not bad.

Speccy games a million times better gameplay than 99% of NES games...If only they had the NES graphics at the time.
