Also, why does this game look MORE dithered here than it did on the Sega Genesis with a quarter of the colors? It's like the design team took all the assets from the Genesis game, resized them in The Gimp, and put the resized versions on the Game Boy Advance without further touch-ups. I'm surprised there are no white edges.
The abysmal speed makes this game look like an absolute slog. Most of the music sounds okay for GBA but having the songs play at different points than they should definitely does it no favors. Overall, not the worst Genesis to GBA conversion I've seen, but I'd take the original any day over this.
They’re both pretty easy, if you know how to take advantage of the combat, pathways, and item locations. I have a video on my channel of me beating the Genesis version in less than 30 minutes. I’ve also met Howard Drossin, and he’s a pretty chill dude.

Out of all the 16 bit ports to gba I think this is the best port appart from the dkc games Most genesis and snes games ported to the gba cough cough sonic are badly ported and not scaled down in any way and are just plain lazy I own megaman and bass and the port ain't the worse but there are problems with knowing if there is something below you or in boss fights you will struggle to see what you have to dodge but overall megaman and bass ain't too bad as although scaling does mess you up a little it ain't too bad I like how comix zone is a scaled down port instead of full res and even runs well
GBA version music more horrible than Genesis version, but these have many feature that Genesis lack like continue option which make game little bit easier, still if you have the ability play the Genesis version it's lot harder but still one of SEGA 16-bit great game.
@@pferreira1983 I don't know the detail but sometime there US version who to hard while Japan or Europe more easy otherwise also can be happen US version much easy than Japan or Europe, like Battletoads in NES the US version is hard as hell while Japan version much easy it's still hard game but not as hard as US version there even funny case I forget the name of game but I remember it's for Sega Genesis/MegaDrive in US version they adds health bar but it's hard to get extra life while other version the opposite there no health bar but it's easy to get extra lives.

Remember how that little old lady in Spain did some unwanted touch-up work on a fresco of Jesus and turned him into a simian savior? This is like, the Ecce Homo version of Comix Zone. You know what it was, you know what it was supposed to be, but there is something cheap and inept and wrong about this version.
Because Sega was terrible at porting stuff to the GBA. Granted this was outsourced to some other company, but Sega should've known better then to think this was good.

Omg yea MKA is Terrible. Who knew porting 16 bit to 32 would be such a challenge. Ultimate MK3 for Genesis/Snes is better in every way.

Amazingly fun! This game is the first game where I experienced a game with different endings as a kid.
