One thing that always stood out to me was a video on this financial advisor that said, "if you win the lottery, the first thing you should do is, NOTHING!"
I completely agree with him bc you have to get used to the money for at least the first 2-3 years. Just go about your life as it was & simply allow yourself to think things through & get used to having all that money.
The second thing to do is, leave it in a very small return on investment fund. Perhaps some CDs, the bank, a few bond's & insurance policies & get a 2-3 percent yearly return on the money. This will be a $hit load of money if it's a huge jackpot where you get 50M+. To be honest this would be more than enough money to live off of for the rest of your life.
Mark Cuban said the same exact things I just mentioned. Just don't lose the money & live off of the interest. Never spend the principle. Only budget & spend within those returns. This is where that first year of doing nothing comes in.

Direct Waste Services in Newark New Jersey don't like employees with a high educational background working for them, they prefer below average sanitation personnel without education. I stayed employed for 1 year while working on my master's degree, I earned 608-735 weekly pay checks while other employees earned 1550-4500 per week

Well think about it. If you’d win you have to live in a safer community away from people who will be looking at you for your riches and you’d have to protect yourself from that and it’s always best to avoid the worst circumstances. That’s what I would if I were in their position. But yes always live within your means. Best thing would be put the money into VANGUARD or SP500 and live off the yearly dividends so it’ll never run out.

I was just discussing yesterday with my husband what would i buy if we won 162 mil euros: a normal size house on the shore in the south of France, Bentley continental convertible, Mercedes suv and a small yacht, practically a boat. If you get only a handful of millions, do what Barbara from Shark Tank said. Put the dam money in a bank account and then deal with the advisors. Cheaper that way. Claiming the money by a lawyer is costly. Make sure to use only too big to fail banks, major banks.
