@@joerytenhartog2035 Top! wij hadden de kabel niet gebruikt, aangezien we de set puur wireless gebruiken.
Als je hem wel wilt gebruiken, moet je een beetje creatief zijn: de een laat de kabel los liggen en de ander wilt hem netjes wegwerken.
Hangt dus ook van je eigen smaak af ;-)

I just finished installing mine it works well but just that screen is abit blurry for me and I spoke to the seller and he explained is because the screen doesn't have HD and the screen is transmitted through analog otherwise I think that is better than none 😂

I bought it, it arrived quickly, and I installed it on my C HR 2018, Touch 2. Calling was easy.
But I can't get Maps to turn on without activating tlm, I can't understand why.

If you plug the usb cable into the unit, you can connect your phone through your own usb cable.

Fantastic job! Thank you for the clear instructions. I have a 2019 C-HR here in the States. My car came with Apple Car Play and not Android Auto. I am an Android guy. Toyota over here just killed Entune along with Scout GPS Link, so I no longer have navigation in my head unit. I just picked up one of these units and will be installing it soon. Not only will I have Android Auto, but I will have it wirelessly and my head unit will look like a stock unit and still have all this original functionality. Thanks again. Sad Toyota allowed this with no solution, but I am glad the aftermarket came through with an even better solution.
How is the signal using the regular antenna? Also does the unit rattle around? I was thinking about securing it down with some industrial strength Velcro strips.

Does not work with Entune 3.0!
After talking to reps from CARabc which made my unit, they confirmed this only works with Entune 2.0. My US 2019 C-HR has Entune 3.0. I told the rep if they can make a unit work with Entune 3.0 they will sell many more of these especially with Toyota discontinuing Entune all across the board.
I also have a 2019 C-HR. Did you have any issues installing it? The touch screen on mine is attached to a bigger unit. Seems different from the one on this video.
@@AbnerAvila Agreed. Sadly it is different even though the listing on Amazon where I bought mine says this will work for the US 2019 C-HR sadly it does not. I found out the hard way after taking my dashboard apart. The connectors are different. After talking to reps from CARabc which made my unit, they confirmed this only works with Entune 2.0. Very comprehensive video so thank you for providing the installation instructions. I have a number of questions I’d really appreciate some guidance on before I commit to the purchase:
1) Is there an option to connect to CarPlay both wirelessly and wired or is it a case of choosing one during the installation process and sticking with it?
2) As you’ve mentioned, to access the CarPlay mode, you go through and pick the Aux option - does this then mean you would lose Aux port functionality completely?
3) How easy is it to flick between the CarPlay mode and the vehicles standard functionalities - e.g DAB radio, vehicle settings etc?
Any guidance or advice would be immensely appreciated.
1. When you plug in the cable it detects and works wired. Pulling out it switches to wireless
2. Aux will be occupied
3. Simply switch to oem and back with on/off button screen

Yes sir, you can switch to the carplay system and back to the Toyota system, no problem!

Hi I have just received my unit in the post. I note that the external USB cable is optional but it also has a power feed which presumably should go to the fuse box? Can you please clarify if the power feed is only nesessary if the external USB input is required and to which fuse would you recomend it is connected?
The unit should not be connected to the fusebox.

I have 2020 hybrid chr, it says I need MyT app to connect wirelessly but can’t download it because the app is limited to few countries, check if you can download the app
Bedankt voor de video. Alleen hoe zit het met telefoons aansluiten? Kan je ook gewoon de USB inpluggen in plaats van draadloos? En kan Apple Carplay worden geupdate?
De usb kabel krijg je erbij en kan je gebruiken voor een bedrade verbinding.
Krijg je wel een extra kabel hangen tov de standaardsituatie dus.
Updaten van carplay gaat via de telefoon.
Updaten van de cartizan module moet met een usb stick, maar heb ik in de 3 jaar van mijn eigen unit nog niet gedaan.

Check the settings of the unit, rear cam has to be set to factory.

It is working, you just need to set the correct setting in the carplay menu, check that out.

Hello, I can see that you install the product on C-HR with JBL speakers system. I have the same one. Does your product fully support JBL sound system? I already tested different company product and the sound was worse.
Maybe it is aux output fault? Is there any difference in transmitted sound quality via aux?
My device is iphone 13 mini, my car is toyota c-hr 2018 Selection, JBL, Navi.
Most of these aftermarket boxes work through aux and it’s the same with this one.
You won’t get the best audio possible through aux unfortunately..

CZcams cannot be used, but that’s an Apple compatibility problem, not Cartizan.
Resolution is just as bad as the stock unit, only Toyota manages to make it look like it’s pretty good…

@@HA-fd7ky if you talking about youtube, then no not in the official options, because of safety regulations Apple and Android will not officially support it.
In oem settings car camera you can try to improve the quality. But your screen is limiting because it has no HD input. Use mirror function for youtube

Go to the cartizan menu and select factory instead of aftermarket camera.

Voor de mensen die twijfelen. Je kan hier rustig bestellen. Snelle levering en product werkt zoals beschreven. Voor de mensen met ervaring met dit platform het is geen 1 op 1 vergelijk met de facelift C-HR dit kan je ook niet verwachten gezien het een module is die je tussen de radio en het beeldscherm plaatst. Weg werken kan voor sommige wat spannend zijn wij hebben de kast echt vast gemaakt aan de hand van tyraps zodat hij niet beweegt, stuitert, of achter het dashboard valt. Ik vond dit in het filmpje niet duidelijk dus dit is wel iets waar jullie rekening mee moeten houden.

Wij hebben het voor een klant ingebouwd. Het enige wat wellicht vervelend kan zijn is het feit dat u de radio niet kunt gebruiken (FM/DAB).
Voor de rest prima.
Hij staat op factory setting bij instellingen van de CarPlay unit, maar nog steeds geen achter camera ??
heb je m werkende gekregen je camera? mij is het in ieder geval niet gelukt ik ben even out of options
Hey there! Perhaps you had similar cases, but any ideas what can be done if the box does not start together with the car? Sometimes it does instantly, sometimes you have to poke around the AUX in the source, and sometime you have to stop and start car again to make it work. Being clueless here, so perhaps someone had similar experience and knows a fix? Thanks
I have not had that issue before.
What i would do is do a hard reset or factory reset (check the settings).
Or else check the cartizan website for updates perhaps, maybe the unit has old software and needs updating.
You can update it by loading the update on a usb dongle and plugging it into the shipped usb cable.

Hey! I installed this device yesterday but I have a problem: it means I connected mu Iphone to the device by blutooth and then it worked. Once I stop my car and restart it it dosen’t connect automatically. Could you please help me to fix this trouble?? Thanks a lot🎉
It’s probably interfering with your existing connection.
Make sure the phone > toyota connection is broken when connected with the new module.
Check settings: automatic connect carplay on/off
Sometimes, the screen auto turn to fm and i can't change to carplay, i have to restart the engine. By the way, i use cable to connect iphone. Does someone have this problem?
Try factory reset. It must work 100%

Hey there, maybe you know what might cause the issue. Unit works, installed on Toyota ch-r 2018, but wireless Android Auto sometimes randomly disconnects. Any idea what might be the reason?
And second question, in order to use usb apple carplay or Android auto, do you need to install that extra cable or will it works using the integrated usb port?

Hi there, you have to use the supplied usb cable, doesn’t work on the factory usb.
I prefer to use the cabled connection, since it is a bit more reliable in terms of connection stability.
Bit of a hit or miss though, some use wireless with 0 issues and other experience something here and there.
I’d try the usb cable in your situation!
In the tutorial they didn't install the Arial on the device which comes with it and improves wifi connection

My friends 2017 toyota chr has the screen in Video but doesn't have any maps or android auto on his screen.
So does this give him all the apps and android auto as seen in video.
I believe 2017 models don't have the software update that's why they don't have android auto from factory

Yes if those apps are installed on the phone, they will show up here as well!
@ot2nie so even though his factory screen hasn't any apps or android auto maps ect installed, this device will turn it into android Auto and allow him to have maps.

It's a touchscreen, but not sure of type all I know is it's 2017 chr and is not a hybrid model

I believe the models are tied to the model year and 2017 should be good.

Siri werkte tijdens onze korte test.
Op de accu heeft het geen invloed, aangezien het wordt gevoed door de bestaande stekkers.

It’s not an issue, but a setting.
Check the cartizan menu.

Set the camera from aftermarket to factory.
Just search around a bit and you will find it.

You have to check the camera settings in the carplay home unit.
It is probably set to aftermarket and you have to set it to factory.
It happens with a lot of these style units, but with a simple fix.

Have you tried resetting the unit?
Iphone: Go to bluetooth connection with the interface on your phone. Press i and turn off carplay. Now you can press mirror icon

If you have done a hard reset and both don’t work, contact motrade for help is what i’d do!
Turn off carplay
Click on mirror icon
Choose wifi according what you see on the screen
Swipe to airplay
If everything else works this must work as well

Ik neem aan dat ik alleen die kabelboom met die 3 stekkers nodig hebt, 3 koppelen aan de radio en die andere kant met die gele plug aan de CarPlay unit ??
@@rienlentjes3143 ja echt puur zoals het in de video is uitgelegd.
Ik zou even de instelling op zijn minst heen en weer schakelen en anders toch even de unit een hard reset geven.
Alternatief is even stekkers losmaken en controleren, dat is redelijk snel gedaan.
2e alternatief is motrade even een bericht sturen.

Have not heard of this before, i’d contact motrade if your issues persist!
be sure that the bluetooth connection of your phone with toyota is disconnected. It prohibits the build of the wifi network
Hi! Sad to hear the GTE was blowing turbos... I have a slight question though, in the videos where you raced from a standstill, were you using the "manual" gearing mode? Are they smooth when you shift? I have this slight "issue" with mine, shifts perfectly in D, but when i have 20-80% throttle and shift in manual mode its jerky and "aggressive" shifts.. do you or anyone else here know what could be the problem? Thanks in advance :)
Make sure you have updated gearbox software
@@skeimi78 I got a engine remap. And after a while I got a transmition remap to try to solve this issue. but that didnt help.Do you mean update the software directly from VW?
