Omg this is just what I needed, my riding instructor often gives me this one friesian who basically has two modes: "look at me, I can lift my head up really high" or "I'm gonna roll my neck so deep and low that there's nothing you can do" 😂

When you moved your hands into the wrong position, my trainer calls that "no man's land," so when I'm riding if I do that she yells "get your hands out of no man's land!!" Lol. She first taught me to visualize pushing a shopping cart to have my hands out in front, riding into them and that really helped. I love seeing your videos and having them confirm that I'm on the right track! Btw it's been in the single digits and negative degrees Fahrenheit where I live in the US and there's nothing in the world that could persuade me to ride in this weather lol. We wait till it's at least in the 20s to get back to it.

Discovered this by accident this week! Horse in rehab from sidebones in both fronts, so he has to balance himself where he's comfortable which isn't where it used to be! This now makes perfect sense thank you x

Such an informative video! I have a bad habit of cantering with my hands too low and not out in front of me. Explains why my horse can so short in the neck and tense. Never knew why! Thanks for all your videos.

Thank you so much! My horse drops nicely but sometimes over bends and I struggle to keep her vertical! This is just what I needed to help me! Thank you 😁☺

Exactly what I needed to see! I started training two friesians a year ago, and I really had to start on the bottom with both of them. They both easily curl behind the vertical, and I haven't quite figured out how to fix it yet. This video was definitely super helpful, and along with your other videos you've given me amazing insight on how I can change my riding for the better, which really motivates me. Thank you so much!

Very useful, I ride a Friesian. He is also very sensitve for seat, and if I tilt forward, he goes behind the vertical.

I always thought "low, deep and round" was just a nicer name for hyperflexion/rollkur...

my pony tends to over bend even without me having contact but she also drops her head at the same time and it's almost like she's looking underneath her.

Much rather them behind the vertical than infront never seen a horse that cant perform the maneuver while been behind vertical who said there is a correct line for vertical in the first place
