- After going through my hair growth journey and getting my hair long and healthy my hair was ruined again for the second time. :( Here is my story time as to what happened. I went to someone new in hopes of finding someone closer to me and it was a HUGE MISTAKE! On the positive side, no permanent damage. Hair is growing and I will get my length back.

That sucks it happened to you again specially right before your wedding!! But girl if you’re still considering going platinum then you really haven’t learned your lesson. Granted the professionals should have known better but you also knew what could potentially happen and went for it anyway. Just stay away from the risk going through that again. Your natural hair is beautiful hair, embrace it.
At this point you need to let go off the platinum all the way to the root. I feel like how you have it now looks amazing. Doing a platinum blonde balayage would be your best bet if you want to continue with the platinum.
I’m one of those who said whyyyyyy when you went blonde again. Honestly not because I want it to happen to you again but because I know how difficult the process is and sometimes we’re tired and we go to someone closer or cheaper and then a tragedy happens. I know it’s only hair but ir sucks.
Even with a very precise application continued bleaching on long hair will result in breakage. I always recommend hilights for very dark hair especially if you want long healthy looking hair. It so damaging, even if the stylist is extremely careful.

I used to have really good bleach sessions and then bad ones where I’d get tons of breakage and the culprit of the problem was switching the bleach every time! Some bleach naturally expands ALOT and some don’t. I recommend using the same bleach that doesn’t expand to prevent breakage and finding a hair stylist who is a perfectionist and VERY careful and aware of over lapping bleach. You still looked beautiful on your wedding day ❤️🔥
The platinum look which I think appeared almost WHITE is for sure drastic and high maintenance for regular straight sleek blondish/ashy brown hair imagine on dark, course and super curly hair =triple threat.. I've gone blonde twice and each time by the 3rd-4th time I experience lot's of breakage I end up with shoulder length hair and brunette. Currently I just do low lights and start with a caramel color then add lighter pieces...

So sorry this happened im glad u are so positive. I know you love your platinum hair but I think you look so much prettier with a dark root and the platinum/blonde ends kinda balayage/ombré I didn’t love the black hair but this you have now looks really pretty🤍
Sorry that happened to you again! Honestly if you have to go back to the person that did an amazing job in LA then it’s the sacrifice you will need to make if you go platinum again. Also, good thing it’s growing back!

Oh girl that sucks I know I've damaged my own hair but honestly I've never put that much heat on my curly hair but your hair will grow and get healthier

Awwww judith❤ I'm so sorry this happened to you as . I over did the heat for many yrs aswell and I have very naturally curly hair . It took me many yrs to embrace my curls and after so many yrs from 2019-2023 and the only thing that helped me was "Rightous Roots Rx"its an oil and now my hair is fabulous curly and lucios❤
I really think you should go jet black you have beautiful skin tone for it; and maybe add some tape ins for length, you would look amazing 🤩

Omg i sorry this happen to you again. 😭😭 I felt that I’m too nice I had a bad hair cut experience like 2 months ago, I told the lady I wanted long layers and she added a bunch of layers on my head 😭😭 so I’m growing out my hair right now. And my nice ass still have her a tip 😅

This happened to me as well. I also blamed myself I would dye my hair so much and never gave my hair a break. However I wish the hairstylist just told me not to do it. I wish I would have had the courage to ask for my money back. Thank you for this video ! Im going to re think dying my hair next month !
Oh no, sorry it happened to you as well. 😫 You just have to find the right person. My mistake was going to this new hair dresser. Be picky with who you go to. Do your research and make sure they have a lot of experience. Best of luck! 🙏🏽

I did the same thing last time and now I’m completely black. I’m done with blonde. I love the blonde but I want my hair healthy too. I’ve learned to love my new black hair WITH EXTENSIONS HAHAHA! ❤❤❤

I don’t think you heard me clearly. That happened the first time around. This time I was not applying any heat to my hair. My hair was healthy! It should not have happened. Not my fault, but the hair dressers fault. I did everything to take care of my hair this time around.

I did want to do something like that to have more dimension on my hair. The guy that got me platinum though told me there’s actually more breakage when there’s highlights vs doing a solid platinum. 😫
Are you using olaplex or redken acidic bonding shampoo and conditioner? I’ve heard good things about the redken one, look into it. But you need a bonding shampoo, conditioner, mask, leave in treatment.

Hopefully she took this as a lesson to develop her skill better before taking on these types of appointments. I also think our hair can only take so much no matter how much we take care of it. I have light black hair and no matter how good the stylists, method and/or product I’m damaging my hair every time I color/bleach it. I have to lift my hair so many levels there’s no way to avoid damage.
Sorry that happened to you😩 My cousin went through something similar 2 years ago. Her hair dresser moved out of state so she went to someone else…yikes! Well this hairdresser was desperate for $$ or something cause she wasn’t professional enough to tell her “don’t do more bleach. It’s going to fry” cause her hair was already looking spongy and dry but she would not listen …smh lol! She has curly hair too. She had to cut it really short and let it grow out (she cried!) Now when she looks at old pics, She realizes that her platinum hair wasn’t looking cute anymore on her, lol! it’s now long again but she says “I think it was a sign to be kind to my hair and leave it alone” and she has….😂 she enjoys her curls and natural hair color. she realized she put it through a lot being platinum😰
Use the K18 hair mask it will help a lot that whole brand of K18 i really recommend hair grows out but sucks that you had to go through this

Omg this happen to my daughter she loved loved blonde hair but every time she wanted to get blonde no one was able to get it the color and they damaged her hair so I told her this was a sign that she’s not Ment to be blonde so now she’s a natural light golden brown with nice hair. No more blonde blonde for her. Sorry you are going through this. Embrace your natural hair it’s actually really nice

I am sorry that this happen.i am not a hair dresser I just love doing my own hair vivid colors and my moms too.She is Mexican and has curly and hard hair lol I bleach her hair I never put her under heat cause her hair will process so fast also I always use blonde or olaplex but I will say I can do so many things to my hair but not to my moms curly hair..lla vez que as Mexicano we believe in everything idk if this help

Breakage is mostly likely to happen when you don’t keep up with 3-4 week touch ups. Definitely her fault for assuring & reassuring she wasn’t going to break your hair & for putting you under heat. Just keep in mind for next time you decide to do solid platinum blonde, 3-4 week touch ups are a must 🥲
Yes, especially my hair that grows fast. It’s why I was trying to find someone close to to be able to go as often as needed. 😔

My hairdresser refuses to bleach my hair because it will ruin my curls. Mama, it took me some time to love my curls and show them love.
My hair was so curly though that I didn’t mind them loosening up a bit. Even then though for being platinum my curls still looked good. The unfortunate just had to happen. :(
If you keep taking care of it as you are doing you can also braid down your hair and try wigs as you said. Im so sorry. I love your hair color with darker roots I know it wasn’t your goal 😫

As a hairstylist I can tell you that you are over processing your hair. When you go silver you are putting the risk that this will happen specially if you don’t take care of it. 😬
I took great care of it. As I mentioned in the video, the hairdresser was careless with the way she handled my hair. My usual visit was 5+ hours with the guy I was going to before. I was done under three hours. My downfall was going to a new hair dresser.
Anyone who says they can get you from black to platinum in one sitting is setting you up for failure! it should be done in 2 to 3 stages with many treatments in between.

Oh no, I don’t mess around with my hair. If my girl isn’t available, not risking it. Especially not platinum. Wouldn’t even risk going platinum, I know my hair is dark…. That’s asking for too much. Sorry this happened to you but hope you find another color that you like and suits you.

Look, I love your videos, post I follow you on everywhere. I’m not gonna side with you on this one, I’m going to maybe side with the hairdresser. I think it’s hard to have your own business but whoever that person was maybe doesn’t deserve to get dragged for a decision you knew the chances of possibly happening. As most of us know, platinum is sooooo high maintenance and although you have had it before you chose to take that risk the day before your wedding. I think a true friend would tell you how it is and I feel like although I don’t know you I have to tell you that’s how I see it since you have posted it in all your platforms. Now back to the hairdresser, you truly do need to do your homework especially knowing you have super curly hair because as we all know curly hair is already hard to deal with, it needs way more care/attention. I know how much you love platinum but sometimes it’s not meant to be. I, sorry you went through that but taking accountability is also a big thing.
A good hair dresser would have been honest in telling me she could not do it or at least mentioned there could be breakage. I take accountability in not doing my “homework” but I did a consult with her in person, I checked out her work (she had platinums on her Instagram page), I asked her more than a handful of times if she could do it without messing up my hair. I showed her pictures of my prior damage and she assured she wouldn’t let that happen. I took care of my hair. I did my part. As a client you can only do so much. Hair dressers go to school and get licensed. If a licensed hair dresser who has beautiful work on her page tells you to trust her, that she can do it, what is left for me to do than to just hope all goes well. My only mistake here was going to someone new but please don’t come on here and say it’s my fault because it truly isn’t. It’s happened to so many girls and it sucks because we end up with the ruined hair and they don’t deal with any consequences. I wasn’t offered any treatment nor checked up on after showing her what happened. She is lucky that I am kind enough to not show her face or her name though or her business at all. I can’t find it in my heart to ruin her business because I know it would. I just really hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else because I stayed quiet. I’m sharing what happened to me because of my platform, because it will show eventually on my videos. I’m not showing this to get pitty nor to bash her because I clearly did not expose who it was.
If she sent you the money, that’s what they are sopposto do and the right thing. This person may not have been experience as well. Of course she should have done so many things to take care of you but sometimes like this situation being platinum is a huge risk. I’m glad you got your money back. I think soon enough you will realize it was your own decision and your own risk to do this.

I went platinum once at home and broke off just like that and I Never did it again. I actually started doing my own hair because of that reason. Thankfully it always grows back, awkwardly but it does come back.
