Radical European Masters 28.9.14 Monza Race 1 James Littlejohn + Tony Wells onboard by ShuntMonkey

The Radical European Masters from Monza , 28th September 2014, Race 1, Nielsen Racing Radical SR8 with James Littlejohn and then Tony Wells driving.
These are the races in Europe for the radical brand race cars, longer races than in the UK and usually very well supported with teams and drivers from across the continent.
Pit stop races with driver changes at the stop, to a mandatory stop time so could be sitting still a few seconds before releasing if all goes to plan.
This is an SR8 but it was a mixed grid of SR8s and SR3s, the 8s being much faster on the straight with over 400hp to the Sr3s mid 200s.
Qualified 2nd and then raced from there, seemed a bit down on straight line speed versus the rivals this weekend, can't remember where we at in terms of engine rebuilds etc so it could have been close to being up on hours.
