  • Despite significant progress in reducing income poverty in recent decades, the latest data shows that the pace of poverty reduction has slowed. Getting to zero in eradicating poverty requires countries to tackle the multi-dimensional problems of poverty with integrated solutions.
    More than 40 countries on four continents have been implementing the Graduation Approach to overcome multiple barriers that prevent the poorest of the population from breaking out of poverty. Most of these programs are in low- and lower-middle-income countries and three-quarters of them are in fragile or conflict-affected countries.
