    Good stuff! Leica should pay you for saving me wasting their time with phone calls and long boring trainings that always seems to gloss over these super useful almost critical features and processes.
    Many thank yous!

    thank you for your very usefull tutorial Andy. I ask you this: when i export a cleaned point cloud in am e57 file I can see the deleted point, how to delete them in order to don't see them in the exported e57 file?

  • @eastudio-K
    @eastudio-K Před rokem

    does it erase part of the original blk file as well? when using "edit visual points"
    also when you delete using the other option, when do you bring the points back, when you export?
    I will try now just dont want to erase my original file
    thank you

    This is a very helpful tutorial. Unfortunately I saw it too late. I exported an rcp file before cleaning up the point cloud. I wanted to correct that. When trying to export a new rcp file, register 360 reported "the file already exists, no new file has been written" Can you help? Many Thanks!

    hello Andy, your videos are great! thank you for your work. quick question, do you do tutorials for Leica DSX by any chance or can point me in the right direction?

    • @AndyFontana
      @AndyFontana  Před 4 lety

      Hey Radu- no, I don't do any kind of tutorials on the Ground Penetrating Radar systems. Could you send me a message on LinkedIn, and I'll connect you with someone on that team. Thanks!

    Is there a way to display the points used for cloud to cloud only ? Upon deleting them they are still shown... Not very easy to see what has been delete already or not...

    • @AndyFontana
      @AndyFontana  Před 5 lety

      crollens If you select two setups and click ‘Visual Alignment,’ it should only show the data being used for cloud-to-cloud. I don’t think there is a way to view this with all setups showing.

    • @trollenz
      @trollenz Před 5 lety

      @@AndyFontana thanks for the answer... Doesn't mean to be necessarily shown in all setups but at least in a single setup view so you could see what you are actually been deleting and what has been deleted so far ?

    • @AndyFontana
      @AndyFontana  Před 5 lety

      @@trollenz I think the only way to do this would be to select that setup, along with one other one, and go into the Visual Alignment view. Remember that you can rotate all around in 3D in this view to see exactly what is deleted and what is still there.

      @trollenz Před 5 lety

      @@AndyFontana thanks Andy... That would still be very useful to be able to see in real time what's edited and not.

    Hi Andy. Question . it is possible to lower the cloud point density to export to .e57 ????

    • @AndyFontana
      @AndyFontana  Před 4 lety

      Hey Juan, unfortunately you can't do this with Register360. But, this is possible in the classic version of Cyclone Register.

    • @stevelong1255

      You can in the new version v 2021.1.0

    I’m having trouble exporting my cleaned point cloud to an e57. It keeps exporting the entire point cloud including the deleted points. I’ve tried it deleting the visible points and the cloud to cloud points. I’ve optimized after etc etc. tried it every which way and the file stays the same size and keeps all the original points. What could I be missing or what step could I be skipping? Any help would be very much appreciated.

    • @AndyFontana
      @AndyFontana  Před 5 lety

      Hey Richard, sorry for the late reply. In the earlier version of Register360, the E57 export didn't support the cleaned point clouds, but the current version does. Guys, do u know how to connect 'Bundles'?

    • @AndyFontana
      @AndyFontana  Před 5 lety +1

      Hey Kjell, all you need to do is take one scan from each bundle and register them together. Then the two bundles will be merged.
