This is the first Prince concert that I ever attended. It was His first triumphant return to NYC after 10 years trying to run out his "slave" contract with Warner. I wish there was a video recording available of this entire show which included separate opening solo sets by Bass Legend Larry Graham and the incomparable icon Chaka Khan who toured with Prince in the late 90's. They played nearly 4 hours in total with Prince DARING MSG's production team to cut off his mics as he overran his stage time. I'm not kidding! He even thumbed his nose at the Garden's management , telling the crowd that MSG hard lined him in disbelief that he could fill the venue. He then gave them the ultimate middle finger by selling out the show! This music marvel, as his usual, went on to play later that night for another 2 hours at a local midtown club. I was too worn out from 4hours of partying to attend another one. Beside, I had work the next day. If you ever visit Madison Square Garden in NYC, it is one of the Notable 360 events showcased in the promenade on the main Concourse. Although I am disappointed by the quality of this video , I am overjoyed to be able to re-live this outstanding show after nearly 30years! Overall one of the best concert experiences of a lifetime. Thanks so much for making this available! RIP Prince Rodgers Nelson!
BTW, some where out there in the ether is an audio bootleg of the show that he played later that night. It showed up one day on CZcams and I forgot to bootleg it. Havent been able to retrieve it since. It would be great if you archive miners could retrieve that one.
Great write up. I understand that quality isn't the best but I'm glad you got to see it again. Is the aftershow Tramps? Here in the link.. czcams.com/video/--Umbbl8Afw/video.html
@@princebootlegchannel YESSS. There it is!!! Great Job. Thanks!
BTW I meant , that I forgot to bookmark it. Not bootleg the bootleg.😁
@@princebootlegchannel Thanks for the comment on my writeup. I though my memory of this outstanding show might be something worth sharing with the diehards!
I post for those who can say I was there as I know how special it is to oneself.👁👍🙌
💜💜🤘🏽💜💜
Stick with this hun. It's a great show. Visually and audio not the best but you'll see if you stick with it.😜👁👍🦋💜🕊
I will tell you…I have never in my life felt such amazingly high beautiful energy at any other show as I have at a Prince show!! No one will ever compare!!! It is unexplainable 💜💜💜
Thanks for sharing!💜💜💜💜🙏🏼🙏🏼 I saw this tour, it was so great! Hope they don’t take this
down , I have to finish it later! 🥰
Nobody ain't nobody ain't nobody takin' Nothing down from Prince Bootleg Channel...100%...
Although this tour had a very simple set and the band was not my favorite of his, there was something special about the way Prince performed during this Jam of the Year 97-98 period. His moves seemed less choreographed but still some of his best dancing. His look during this time was also probably my favorite of the 90's.
My favourite ever tour !!!!!
