    I have the same tool you have and several more (like 5)... However I found after experimenting. A plastic yarn needle cut to 3cm and rounded off at the end was easiest... That meant I didn't catch the other hair, those other tools are too long they catch the other hair. A yarn needle is like ÂŁ2 once you cut it to 3cm you burn the end a little with a lighter, roll it with your fingers and then use a nail file to smooth it out, take literally 5 mins and once done it so much better, I was literally breezing through my hair.

    It looks good, good job! I have sisterlocks, micro/sister ‘locs’ are a great hair choice. I’m seeing a lot of people are using the interlocking method, it’s very clever. I just want to say welcome to the loc family! 💛 Them locs are gorgeous.

    Your starter locs are beautiful! I would love to see how the retwisted roots hold up. If it actually works for you then I'm totally adopting this method. The only thing is I really hate to use product in my locs, 'cos I hate the buildup that happens with that. Please do a follow up video so we can see how the twists help up after 4-6 weeks. Thanks for sharing.

    Retwist then interlock for a longer lasting retightening.

    Your locs look great! There’s another CZcamsr who retwists her microlocs as well. Alicia James. Her locs have held up for a well with that method.

    It looks really good with the twist method. I have similar hair texture and I am going to try this method too. I microloc'd my hair over the weekend and excited about the journey. I agree, we all have different textures of hair and must do what seems to work for our hair type. Thank you for sharing. Beautiful... and very neat.

    You did a great job retwisting all the way down your loc’s. If you go ahead and interlock each of your loc’s you will not have to do it as often as you will, if you only re-twist. As soon as your hair gets wet at the root, the re-twisting will undo itself, but if you interlock it as well it should stay until your new growth needs to be retightened again.

    Too many rules in this loc journey like natural hair. I interlock my hair 3 days after installing them. There's no difference when you interlock same day or 6 weeks.. Sisterlocs interlock on installation day, so do some microloc. As long as we care for our hair forget everything else.

    Does retwisting last for microloc two strands on 4a/4b/3c hair? Is it safe?

    • @beyoutifullynatural9451
      @beyoutifullynatural9451  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      So far for me it’s lasting and stays twisted until I wash. I believe it’s safe but I’m not a loctician so I don’t want to give incorrect information. It’s ideal to interlock smaller locs because it locs faster and lasts longer. I’m only 10 months in so idk how fast it will loc with retwisting. Thank you for watching❀ Are you already loc’d or thinking about it?

      @@beyoutifullynatural9451 thank you for responding. I am currently installing my microlocs. It's taking me a bit. My hair is long and thick. I have one section left. I am doing the front left side throughout today and I am determined to finish as this is the beginning of week 3 and I'm tired. My hair ranges from 22-26 inches, most of what I've completed seems to have shrunken, but it's still falling about 4-5 inches past my chin/shoulders. I am worried about interlocking, I've tried sampling a few dozen in the beginning a few in other places, but I'm worried it's just too much for me. I do have thick, somewhat high density hair, but because it's still so soft, I feel like that would qualify it as fine, but it still looks super thick after 3/4s of my install. I absolutely love it, but I've been feeling scared about maintenance. Many people say 2 and 3 pt isn't safe, but the 4pt seems just too tight for my hair. Soon as I realized this I just stopped. I mostly after the first section, literally only have 2 strand twists, many braided at the ends, nothing at the roots currently. I'm trying to decide what to do when I finish the last section, hopefully today since it's been almost 3 weeks since I started my install and already have about a half inch almost of new growth, I want it to be neat but I'm worried if twisting will work since it's needs to be neatened and 3 weeks in. I don't want weak have but interlocking seems so rough, u want to do the 2 or 3 point but I just want my hair to be neat and healthy. I cut off a tiny nape area loc in the back when I first started because I did the whole thing interlocked and it was just too tight and stressed my scalp so bad. I want to know if 2 or 3 pt is softer and lower and okay or if retwisting is fine, I'll be finished with the last front left section today and just want the safest, softest, neatest option. I have multiple textured hair throughout, but I mostly think it's 4a, some 4b, and 3c in much of my nape/lower back hair and have been natural for 12 years this June 11th, I want to know since you have long hair too if retwisting is a good alternative option and if it will last and if my tiny microlocs, which are mostly either 3/8s or 1/4 of an inch throughout my whole head. Just need some more advice. I had a consultation, and learned so much which inspired me that I could do it myself and I've always been so gentle with my hair, hence I've managed to do it myself for almost 12 years and grew it to waist length. Thank you for any clarity or encouragement you can share. đŸ€—â€ïž

      @@AuthenticTruthSeeker I feel the same about my hair! And I when I interlocked, I felt like it was too rough on my hair and it seemed more damaging than retwisting honestly. That’s why I don’t interlock because even though my hair is thick, it’s still soft and fine in some parts. I think retwisting is a great alternative. It will take longer to loc but it’s healthier on the hair in my opinion. And retwisting is easier to maintain yourself. I see lots of other ladies retwisting their micro locs too and the only “bad” thing I hear is that it doesn’t last long but that is okay for me. I believe it will loc the same way traditional locs would. If you are still unsure, you can just retwist for now and interlock later if you decide to. I retwisted the first 4 months, retied once, then started retwisting again. Only you know what’s best for your hair. Some people may say don’t retwist small locs but interlocking can be too rough especially if you’re tender headed like me. I hope that helped❀ in my last video I posted, I talked about why I choose to retwist instead of interlock
