- In this video I show how to solve problem with LG TV wifi.
Many times the LG TV will show an error that says "Wifi is turned off. Turn it on to see the list of available networks that you can connect to and additional related menu items.
But there is no button to turn it on its actually manufacturing defect so let’s see how to fix it. Only screwdriver and cleaning alcohol required to fix this.

I tried everything else on CZcams including resetting the location and tweaking other settings on my LG TV and nothing worked. I followed the instructions in this video and had the TV connected to WiFi in 20 minutes. Thanks Russian guy!
Wow. Me too. I tried the different region trick (which worked for about a day) but went back out. Tried factory reset on Friday but nothing. My wife and I just did exactly what this video told us to do and within 20 minutes, it worked. By golly, it worked.

My wife is better at searching for help online than me. She found your video and shared with me. Two days later we pulled the TV off the wall, followed your steps and put it back together with high hopes.

If you lose Wi-Fi on your LG TV, this is the best video I found on CZcams to fix the problem.
Cleaning the connector on the Wi-Fi circuit board on the TV will fix the problem. Thank you for the great video Mr. Stukov! You are the best!
Bro I stumbled upon this video as I was already struggling some time to fix: WiFi seems to be on, same as Bluetooth - however no devices could be found and no connection established. After a factory reset I knew it had to be something with the hardware or the wifi module. I do not even have your lg tv model and it does even differ a lot. However my wifi module was also at the bottom and a combo module with: wifi, bluetooth, infrared sensor (also for the lg magic infrared remote control which did not work correctly previously as well). I did not even have rubbing alcohol but just used a toothbrush and cleaned it gently. And it indeed instantly worked. Your video was the only thing that resulted in a brandnew tv feeling without needing to buy a new replacement wifi combo module. Thanks a lot buddy!

This is the only video that has helped me with this YEARS long wifi issue I’ve had with my LG TV. It has always jumped off the wifi several times a week and I’d have to manually reconnect again each time. Just recently, it hasn’t been recognizing any wifi at all. It would say that the wifi is off, not give me the option to turn it on & I’ve never experienced that. I tried all the resetting and unplugging of my router and tv but nothing worked until I finally found this video and the correct screwdriver. So proud that I was able to do this all on my own. Thank you so much!

It actually worked! I researched this on the in internet and reddit for about a month and tried every solution except this one. It really wasn't bad at all. I was a little bit worried about breaking the small wifi circuit board, but it came loose fairly easily. I was worried I was going to have to buy a new tv, but this solution worked. Thanks a bunch!

My TV’s WiFi hadn’t been working for a year now. I tried all the usual tips from other videos. I remember seeing this video last year and thought this could be /the/ solution. I didn’t do it right away bc my TV is mounted & the thought of tearing it apart by myself was such a hassle.
Fast forward to today (Mar 2024), my dad & I brought the TV down and opened it. I don’t even have the same LG model as the video, but I identified the same WiFi module. We cleaned it even if it wasn’t dusty. My dad doubted that that was the problem bc it didn’t even look dirty or anything, but when we turned it on… IT ‼️ ACTUALLY ‼️ WORKED‼️

Thank the freaking heavens!!!!! We tried every other solution out there including the annoying long-time-wasting ones. Nothing worked. Except for this one! It took us probably an hour to do because we have a different model where the entire panel was clip locked into place.... but after that gruelling effort THE WIFI SWITCHES ON AND AND ACTUALLY CONNECTS! Hurray. Back to consuming entertainment we go 😆

My tv wi-fi wasn't working and couldn't fix it in anyway. Tried all the "software solutions" I could but they didn't work and realised the problem had something to do with the wifi module inside.
I never opened a tv in my life and was about to give up, already thinking about buying a new (it's not exactly new ahah). Then I stumbled upon your site and this video. You made it look so easy that I wanted to give it a shot. I tried, opened it, cleaner the wifi module and it worked!

Thank you! I was on the verge of purchasing another TV. I have a different model, so it took a few minutes to identify my wifi module. Just finished connecting 15 min ago, and couldn't be happier!
Thank you so much!!! This worked!!!!!! I have a 75" LG TV and there were just a couple of extra screws at the bottom base of the TV once you remove the back panel. I had to remove the stand (legs if it applies) and there was a black plastic covering which covers one of the crimped connectors. This is what you need to remove. The other connector, the WFII connector, was located a little higher up on the TV... not much higher....middle right. I cut the blue tape, straightened the crimped wires, used electrical tape to tape it down and it looks like it worked. Remember, there were two areas you will need to straighten out for this type of TV: The base part, which needs to be removed, and the WFII connector. Again, THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!

We have an LG from 2019, it wasn’t dirty inside or anything and this actually fixed it! Very happy, it’s an easy fix for anyone if you’re careful

I know I’m pretty much repeating what others have said but after relocating house and living in Thailand where some things are hard to get sorted, the WiFi wasn’t working and I tried ur info with kitchen towel, alcohol and compressed air and it worked like a charm!

Thank you SO much for this video!! When I unscrewed the back, the wire going to the WIFI box was all bent. I followed the instructions here and straightened the wire and it's working now!!

After months of trying different suggestions avoiding opening the TV, I finally decided to "Nike" (Just do it).😂😂😂 Afterall, the TV is out of warranty.

Thank you sir for taking the time to make a video to show how easy it is to locate the wifi card and clean/reseat the ribbon cable. I opened my 7000 series LG on the kitchen table just like you. I didn’t use any cleaner, but I did use a brush. It may have only needed to be reseated. Oddly enough, the wifi adapter is used for the RF magic remote. The cursor is working again. My tv was hardwired, but the wifi card was making the Ethernet connection disconnect and reconnect. My tv would then power cycle to try to fix the issue. Thank you so much for your time and willingness to share the fix.

Same problem! I didn’t even utilize WiFi but whatever dust or loose connection in the WiFi module clearly impacted by hard wired Ethernet connection.

I have reset my tv a few dozen times, changed location back and forth about a hundred times.
Today i took the back off and did this. Its working as of now. We have 6 grandkids usually the most at one time visiting is 3.

Now I just need to figure out why the Launcher doesn't always open..plus my remote has no "Home" button

This saved my life! My tv kept having this issue and it got to where even the ethernet cable kept malfunctioning and disconnected. Opening it up was definitely the hardest part- I got a little LCD damage towards the top of my screen, which was more my bad for forgetting one of the screws for a second, but once I went through all the steps and replaced the back, suddenly the tv is picking up on wifi options again! Thank you!! Was about to go buy a new tv tbh

I was quite surprised that such a simple solution would work! My 2018 works like a new one now. Thanks for saving me the cost of buying a new TV! The chip was located under a cover at the bottom of the TV but was readily identifiable as the RF Module.

Holy Flip! After about 2 years of not able to get it working, it finally got my TV’s Wi-Fi to work with your solution! The models a bit different from mine in terms of screws, but the same method still applies. Only downfall is that I accidentally broke the clip off the power connector (that holds it in place) and I hope it doesn’t disconnect because of this! Is this something to worry about, and can it be fixed with electrical tape?

It really worked, although my connectors were slightly smaller, my green circuit board wouldn't release and I didn't know where to apply the lens wipe. I used a small brush from my clippers to clean the plug and port with alcohol and it works perfectly. Thanks Mr. Stukov!

Thank you so much for this tutorial. I could not figure out why my 4 year old LGTV was telling me that wifi was turned off. However, there was no option to turn it on. Resetting the TV to initial settings took me back to the first time set up however it was unable to find any networks. I knew the issue was with the TVs WiFi.

I felt like a total dumbass going through these steps, convinced it wouldn't work.
And although my LG is a different model, but I was able to locate the Wi-Fi module (made in Indonesia).
I blame the motherboard connection though. When I did as you suggested, I used toiletpaper and cleaning alcohol to clean the connectors.
Screwed the damn thing together again, and everything worked like a charm.

Thank you. I opened the case before to straighten the wires, which worked for a time. Now I could not get the WiFi back and LG wanted to send out a tech, at my expense. I was a bit nervous about pulling the chip out and the connector from the chip, but it was easy and now works fine.
